Guys... possibly silly rules question here.

So Khârn has rampage. Does rampage work solely off number of models?

This is always how I assumed it worked, but this morning a guy brought up he had always played it as equivalent number of models. As in, bulky models are two, very bulky are three, etc. He cited talent for murder as his reasoning.

I would go for no.

Talent for murder and the SoH one specifically mentions bulky v bulky counts as.

Rampage does not.

Rules as written, but a cool houserule. It would let him lol a Terminator squad to lil pieces.

I've done that over about a dozen games. They're entertaining, but kinda work better for my Solar Aux or Dark Mech. With World Eaters, they fill roughly the same role.

As to how: Take them as your allied detachment, 2x50 units of inducted levy and a force commander with the Warp Cult and Tainted Flesh providences.

Hmm, was checking their rules as I assumed that was how you did it, however I noticed they have the Support Squad rule? meaning not compulsory troops. Could be a dodgy old battlescribe but don't you have to have a compulsory troops and hq with allied detachments?

Was planning to chuck them in a word bearers army after I got the idea here, felt fluff wise they fit more with Word Bearers riling up militia with oratory

Tainted Flesh provenance makes them compulsory.

They definitely fit in fluff wise for Eaters.

Their recruitmemt worlds are basically feral militias fighting for whatevrr resources the Legion drops in. Forcibly recruited and sent to do battle, voila.

I used the forgeworld WE legion sergeant torso on some Mk.III legs, of the rebreather heads from the forgeworld berserker upgrade set, Sanguinary Guard axe, and command squad Narthecium. Admittedly, I need to reapply the ax arm, as it's in a really awkward position and the bottom bit of the ax keeps snapping off...

In other news, my World Eaters have done exceptionally well in my local league (vs. 40k armies)- I'm currently leading 22-16 vs the second place guy. I've nearly tabled every opponent with these land raider heavy lists, although I did lose one game on objectives (he had 1 model left at the end and I had probably 80% of my army intact but I couldn't get to him).

I think I'm mostly fortunate that my meta doesn't feature a ton of grav (we actually have more Chaos players than Imperials these days, and basically no xenos to speak of).
