It is an awesome army that he has.

Another Fellblade chassis would be awesome, but it isn't ZM friendly. Unless the battle was inside a giant IF transport ship and it was raging in in the hold where the 775th kept all their vehicles & forges.

Another Fellblade chassis would be awesome, but it isn't ZM friendly. Unless the battle was inside a giant IF transport ship and it was raging in in the hold where the 775th kept all their vehicles & forges.

I can see it now:

*Invading Enemies rush down a Corridor heading towards the Vessels Hangar Bay intent on disabling the Imperial Fists Motorpool to render them useless husks of metal.*

*As they break into the Hangar Bay, flood lights suddenly come to life, blinding them. Over a Megaphone, a single voice calls out*

"Welcome to my...humble...abode, scum. It seems you've made it just in time." Said Godfrey.

"For you see, I was performing routine maintenance on my Glaive and was about to perform a few...firing tests...and had run out of Targets to practice on."

*Eyes adjusting to the blinding light, then then see the Forgelord atop the cupola of the Glaive, its barrel aimed in their direction*

*Godfrey lets the confusion slowly drain from them as they come to a grim realization: The have nowhere to run.*

*stumbling to try and run back the direction from whence they came, growing more frantic as the audible sound of energy charging filled the air, tripping over one another, halting their escape*

"May whatever you call god have mercy on your souls for I will not." He proclaims, pulling the firing switch.

*CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM*

As the secondary doors roll open, the rest of the motorpool rumble forwards.

Seeing the futility of their situation, the hapless invaders run for the few remaining exits, only to be confronted by Sigismund and a contingent of the 1st Company.

Running for the only available un guarded exit the enemies bolt and suddenly come to a crashing halt as if hit by an invisible wall of iron.

Out of nowhere an Imperial Fist materialises, a nimbus of light glowing around his head. he laughs " see you have met our esteemed Brother Humboldt!!"

Thanks guys , I really needed that today put a big smile on my face.

Thank you for the compliments I  really enjoyed the process on these guys , I  think that after ETL I might do another set since they were so fun to put together.
Still waiting on the  last Leviathan for my Talon.

Here is something full of foreshadowing enjoy

Godfrey's Scarred helm was carried beneath his arm  as he and brother Humboldt made their way across the  mustering ground. The heavy step of brother Humboldt was mixed with the sound of damaged servo's in his right leg which would soon need attention all the more reason  why Godfrey was less than pleased to be forced into meeting this Solar Auxillia commander as opposed to returning to his workshop aboard the  Grinding Stone.

" You are in a foul mood Godfrey , its unbecoming to meet your allies in bad spirits."

The dreadnoughts voice came through as a low machine growl , still  keeping the slight tones of his predecessor. Godfrey tried not to think about  the fact that somewhere inside that shell was what was left of Humboldt the same man whom  had saved the rest of their lives while sacrificing himself and his tank. The same man who refused to die as he was dragged from the smoldering ruins of the fellblade itself.

" I would be in a better mood if we had a new target. "

Humboldt's giant claw arm was  placed in front of him then.  and the cold helmet lenses turned to peer at him.

" Godfrey you would bleed the armored company dry following around the Templar before Horus even arrives at Terra?  I  do not disagree that there are enemies still  hidden too close to our doorstep but you are taxing  the ability of the 775th to be remotely relevant in the defense of the Emperor.  You  are angry , and that is fine , but sacrificing the company to  douse the flames of your rage is not something I will stand by and allow you  to do."

Godfrey paused and nodded. He knew what Humboldt said was right and he knew that throwing themselves into battle so recklessly had weakened them.

" I  understand .... .... I  will  be more measured in my approach master Humboldt."

That caused a rumbling laugh from  the Leviathan Pattern Dreadnought who  removed the claw arm barring his path.  These lectures were coming more frequently now , and in part this was because Godfrey had been too reckless but also  because the very nature of Humboldt's Tomb was beginning to errode his mind.  The  Leviathan shells were incredible war engines but unlike contemptor pattern dreadnoughts the strain of them was too great. Humboldt , Bohemond , and Raymond had all been interred  around the same time ,  and each were showing  signs of mental deterioration. Bohemond preferred to be kept asleep   when not at war , perhaps cognizant that he was losing himself.  Raymond had stopped  responding to anything but battle orders and Humboldt seemed to be doing his best to mentor Godfrey while he still could often repeating himself.  Godfrey had been trying desperately with the last remaining   Leviathan Shell in his companies possession to  figure out what the cause of the rapid deterioration was , but  had not been successful.

" You will lead the 775th in the largest battle the legion has ever participated in. Your foes will be the most dangerous we ever faced. Godfrey you must wage war intelligently  , you are the only pupil I have left."

Those words stung but Godfrey simply nodded as they made their way to the Command center of the Auxillia mustering ground.  The Dracosan Demolisher tanks  and Leman Russ Vanquishers  having their places nearer to the command center suggested that this regiment was currently under the control of a tank  commander.  This wasn't surprising  and would have been even less so if Godfrey had bothered to read the orders that had been passed down to him.  The Auxillia repair crews working on the warmachines were less than bothered by the presence of the  Leviathan save for the occasional glance and much less so far the forgelord.

Stopping at the center point of the  field garage there sat a Malcador being serviced by several mechanics and crew members , and to Godfrey's annoyance , no commander.  He kept his tone measured as he addressed the crew working on the  warmachine.

" I am seeking Tank Commander Alexia Flint....... where can I find her."

The crewmembers looked up from what they were doing , the faces of men and women dedicated to the upkeep of their warmachine , the one constant they had  over many different warzones and world where they had met the enemies of mankind.  No one responded, but a woman wearing a bandanna  around her fair blonde almost white hair  with a dirty face smeared with what looked like engine oil appeared from the hatch of the tank, her gloved hands were filthy  and she wore simple pants like her crew and a beige tanktop. on her left shoulder was a terrible burn scar likely from  her line of work on her right a tattoo of a hawk  perched upon an auxillia helmet.   Godfrey raised an eyebrow feeling his temper flaring up but struggling hard to suppress it. He was about to ask again before the woman spoke.

" Looks like your friend has seen better days. Ruined servos in the left leg , and from  the sound of how hes shifting his weight something is wrong with his stabilizers in the other one."

Godfrey growled audibly then  and flexed the fingers of his augmetic hand in and out of a fist.

" While I appreciate your observation  , The sooner I meet your commander the sooner I can see to brother Humboldt's repairs."

Godfrey watched as the woman placed her elbows on the hull of the tank and her hands on either side of her face leaning in a bit to squish her face such a touch.

" They told me you would be a bit of a stick in the mud , lead from the front type  , but they also told me you were of Mathian blood. "

Godfrey narrowed his eyes some and replied as measuredly as he could.

" Ta'shall sangoria na Dorn uru dah Mathiaa chus "
( My blood is that of Dorn as it is Mathian)

There was a large smirk from the tank commander then as she replied in the same tounge.

" Uru dah Mathiaa chus , Uru dah sangoria na Dorn , tal Mathiaan , tal Ferrum , dara "
( The blood of Dorn , Mathia , your blood is that of a warrior wreathed in Iron.)

Godfrey recognized this for the compliment that it was and crossed his arms over his chest returning to high gothic for Humboldt's sake.

"I take it you are Alexia Flint then and this  is the mustering of your company."

The woman wiped her face with a rag  and climbed out of the Malcador her left arm from elbow down was augmetic. The fair hair and bright eyes as well as her accent meant she had been from the other side of Mathian. Where it was colder  unlike Godfrey whom despite his ascension beyond his humanity still carried the slightly darker skin and black hair of the shattered lands folk.

Flint was handed a jacket that marked her  out as a commander and slipped it over her shoulders lazily as she strode right up to Godfrey though she needed to look up at him she did so with an almost casual fearlessness.

" We have been assigned to support the  seven hundred and seventy fifth armored division of the Imperial fists both in any ongoing operations and during the eventual fallback to Terra should the need arise.  It is a pleasure to work with you Forgelord Godfrey , you will forgive my appearance , as I  am sure you understand that the only way to make sure your warmachine is properly taken care of ... is to do so yourself..... "

For the first time in a very long time Godfrey smiled , he had dealt with his fair share of Imperial Army commanders and this was the first one he actually felt he could get along with.

" There is a task I have been given by the first captain of my legion . an Fourth legion grandcompany  or what is left of it has attacked and now controls a  valuable supply depot on the fringe of the sol system.  Reports are of a significant armored force , I am going to deal with this threat and I require the aid of your armored assets to engage the fourth legion and their militia elements."

Flint paused and then abruptly turned from Godfrey climbing ontop of her Malcador she  was handed a vox caster , that projected her voice to the entire mustering ground.

" 951st Stone Hawks this is  Commander Flint , prepare your vehicles for transport  we have new orders and another war to fight."

There was an auidble cheer from  across the muster ground and Flint herself gave an elaborate courtesy before placing her pointer and middle finger against her collarbone in a very old salute from the Mathian royalty. Godfrey did well to hide his surprise and simply inclined his head a fraction before turning on the spot and beginning to leave the mustering ground with  brother Humboldt in toe.  Fastening his helm over his head brother Humboldt spoke to him over the sub vox.

" That wasn't so bad was it...."

Godfrey was smirking behind the impassive helm he wore and he worked hard to keep that smirk out of his voice.

" I guess not , maybe you are right  master Humboldt maybe a little bit of help is exactly what we needed.  I just didint imagine it would be coming from somewhere I thought I left behind so long ago."

Humboldt's laughter was hardier than it had been before.

" The Primarch is allocating resources where they would best be used  Godfrey ... this is no different , and stop  calling me master , the 775th is yours to command ,  and you  will lead it in the greatest battle our legion has ever fought .... "

Godfrey's smirk dissipated as he heard Humboldt start repeating himself again.  They would go back to the Grinding Stone Godfrey would see to Humboldt's injuries and then he would resume work on the Empty Leviathan Shell as the  Stonehawks prepared to move out. There had to be some way to stop the deterioration of his mentor and the others ... he would find it.

A  Leviathan Dreadnought who has mastered the ancient Terran way of Karate

He hit a warlord titan with his drill hand , voxed out DIM MAK  and the entire thing exploded

mind you  he turned his back to the explosion  and put on this tiny pair of sunglasses before voxing

That being said the overlook for this thread is thus
I have one more  Leviathan to paint that  I am waiting for , that will be the last MODEL  update for a while as I  need to get started working on my wolves stuff for ETL but that doesn't mean I wont be working on fluff and hopefully getting more battle reports up for this thread as well I  will do my best  and hopefully  it will continue to be worth your time to check in.

Speaking of the last  Leviathan I worked on his base some today.
