Oh I absolutely love that!!!

The casts look great too. Wish I could just buy the base, as the smashed dread would look awesme underfoot of my Leviathan

Very crisp cast on these.

Niiiice, looking forward to seeing those done!

Seriously itching to get started on them!

if only fenris wolves all looked like that

They are lovely looking wolves.

Yeah no those are thunderwolves.

I think they are. They're slightly bigger than the plastic TW.

Wow, looks really good! I envy all of you, I'm still far too scared to start my Russ.

My plan for the sword's blade was:

Stormcast Silver Base

Thin layers of black going to dark red (thin enough to let the metallic hue shine through)

Red glaze on top.

Is his sword a Frost Blade? (Not clued up too much on Leman).

I'm fairly sure it's a Daemon weapon.

Atleast that was what I and others were told on the FW Open Day.

But with MoM revealing that this can't be Drach'nyen in its earlier form and with Inferno coming in a few weeks - why not wait and see what FW's description is and to get some inspiration from it?

I think that sounds like a solid plan!

Also happy to take suggestions on his belt as well. I'm thinking black with gold trim and a bone skull?

Riku, I wouldntt go with pure black on the blade. I would prsonally take a metallic black, or a black silver mix and then add lots of silver in as you go up the blade.

Use a Carroburg crimson/ bloodletter, or a nuln & carroburg/ bloodletter mix (depending how bright you want the red) mix with some ardcoat fro a sightly shiny finish.

As fr Russ' belt, the black with gold and bone will look good, personally I am going to use red or leathery brown instead of black to tie him in with the leather parts on the Space Wolves in my army.

What colour are you going to do the pelts?

Probably the same as the rest of my army, which is a light, sandy brown, with deeper black and brown markings toward the middle of the pelt.

For some time I've been meaning to build a Rune Priest on bike, so I can field a 3 man Wyrdstorm Brotherhood.

Finally got round to it, using the Deathwatch White Scar biker as a base:

The helm on the back represents the Helm of Durfast. He'll alos be ML2.

Need to decide whether to run him with my TWC, or build a squad of Swiftclaws to accompany him!

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

WW

Looks pretty good so far, the sabre is quite nice.

Oh and make some swifties.... You already got the TWC right? Buff them with some wulfen ;)

Cheers bud! I've got three spare bikes, so I may have to now!

Sorry if i missed it Wraithwing but what are you using for the gold on your Russ? It looks great!

Many thanks! The gold is currently just Retributor Armour with an Agrax Earthshade wash.

  • 5 weeks later...

Just finished the latest addition to my 40K Wolves (weird that I now have to specify between 40K/30K!), a unit of Fenrisian Wolves.

Painted in a timber wolf style pattern, to differentiate them from the more sandy coloured ones I did a while back:

Been a bit quiet on the forum front, but still chipping away at my Wolves.

Here's a Wolf Scout pack I've had built and primed since the project started, but Shadow War: Armageddon has got my arse into gear painting them:

Only base and shades done, so still a way to go.

They had their first victory today, murdered a Genestealer Cult kill team!

Cheers,

WW

Finally found a bit of time for some hobby, so have finally got round to painting the last two riders for my TWC pack.

Still WIP, as I've only done base and shades. Highlights to come.
