The Red Sorcerers of Prospero: Exiles of Osiris

So I dropped by the local shop today to pick up some paints and a few of the Tartaros Praetor (I was able to snag 2 as my shop got 36 of them in).

This gave me a chance to set up my full army for a few photos, I know a few people have messaged me for full army shots so here you go!

There are few things in these group shots that I haven't posted yet, so I should have a follow up post in a few days once I can get my light-box set back up.

There is still a lot to be done to bring the 2nd tactical squad up to muster, but the army is nearing completion which mean I should be able to achieve my goal of "Finish the damn army before Inferno drops"

As always, let me know what you think!

Gorgeous looking army so far. Hadn't realized just how big it had gotten in such a short time.

2 Praetors? Damn, No GWs near me means I have to go without. Looking forwards to seeing how you incorporate them into either on eof your armies.

Damn that's shame about the Praetor. One of them is going to become a Terminator armored Version of Osiris, the other will become Gabriel Angelos from Dawn of War III. If you want, I can see If I can snag a third from my store, I think they have 16 left. Just let me know man.

I havent really had time to do much work on these guys, but there are two think I'm excited to show you.

First, it was incredible seeing some of the artwork for Inferno from the Open Day, so after sitting on the images for a few weeks, and getting brow beaten by DepthCharge, I decided that the proteus Land raider scheme that was previewed was to cool to pass up.

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i327/nickfayette1/13689807_10154364371086468_836874309_n.jpg

SO I repainted my Proteus.

This is my attempt to emulate the artwork:

I'm waiting on decals for the doors and elsewhere, but I think I'l probably go with a white Legion symbol instead of the gold that the artwork uses, in order to tie the scheme into my white/red scheme. I'm unsure if this will be a one off use of this scheme, or if I'll go back and repaint the Sicaran as well. Time will tell I suppose, and of course input fro you lot is always appreciated.

Additionally, I've nearly finished the conversion on my Leviathan Dreadnought.:

I haven't really decided what his scheme will be yet. Most of the variation revolve around the Giant shoulder plates on which I've added the Legion symbol.  Maybe gold with the symbol in red, or red with the symbol in white, or even red with the symbol in gold. I'm unsure.

Ancient Imrik

Siegemaster Imrik was once acolyte to the Order of Ruin. Under the tutelage of Ignis, he would serve the XV as a Geomancer excelling in siege warfare.

Once deemed to have a mind uniquely balanced for the intricate dance of trajectory, and calculus so prized by the Order of Ruin, his fate would change upon the ammonia plains of Kalatraxx Minor. It was there he was mortally wounded defending his battery from counter fire, by shaping the very earth itself as a living shield to allow his artillery divisions precious time to retreat.

Such talent must never be wasted, and so he was interred within one of the first Leviathan Pattern Dreadnoughts gifted to the XV by the Terrawatt Clan of Terra, so that his wisdom would endure.

However, not all who are reborn in an Iron tomb thrive in their second life.

Aggression, melancholy and apathy overtook the reborn Sorcerer, and so he was discarded from Ignis' side, for newer proteges.

Were it not for the swift intervention of Osiris; once captain of the 10th fellowship, on his behalf, it is entirely likely that Imrik would have been relegated to the long sleep, his Ironform left slumbering beneath the City of Light.

For with the encroaching darkness at the end of the 30th Millennium, Osiris would have need of such flawed, but skilled warriors.

For only in Death does duty end...

+++++

Wow, i've been working on this guy for a while but I am now pleased to show you my finished Thousand sons Leviathan. I wanted to make the model unique, with the inclusion of the Legion symbol on the upper carapace and the Crest on the helm, but I also was wanted to keep the model from becoming too gaudy. Hopefully I found that balance.

As always, I'd love to know what you guys think!

What amazing models you have. I am as bitter as Perturarbo with envy!

Excelent work with White Scars sword. I assume is the Jetek Suberai one from DW?

I am inspired by your work. Truly.

Amazing work on the Leviathan, bro!! Also, the Landraider looks brilliant. The combination of red, black, and gold works really well, and I'm sure it will look even more impressive once we get some Thousand Son decals from FW.

Ps. I can't wait for the Thousand Sons to get the full FW treatment, rules and all, just to see what you do with them :)
