Great job on the Sang Guard I really like the fact you’ve used the ‘newer’ jump packs on them. They’ll look great trying to defend Dante :smile.:

Thanks Bio, I am not really a fan of the winged jump packs that the Sanguinary Guard normally use, especially when the Chapter Master only uses a standard jump pack aswell. I am just adding the final touches to Dante so I hope to have him finished very soon :D

The sanguinary guard look great, really liking the shade of gold. Can't wait to see Dante completed, but I'm certain it'd be worth the wait even with holiday delays!

Afternoon all!

I have (finally!) finished Dante. This model took a lot longer than I anticipated but I am fairly happy with him. I may have to go back and revisit some parts at some point but for now I am calling him done:

Good morning everyone,

I have been working on something a little different over the last few weeks in addition to finishing Dante, I am now working on my Night Lords again. Not the metallic batch for 40k but a new batch of Heresy models with an updated scheme (I know, I know...). I am extremely happy with how they are turning out:

At the moment I have twenty of the Betrayal at Calth plastic MKIV's, the Night Lords Contemptor and five Night Raptors plus what's in the box. I realise that posting this means I have narrowed down the contents to two possible models. The Contemptor should be finished today and I am just waiting on upgrade heads from Forgeworld for the other models and then I will be cracking on with them.

As always your thoughts are very welcome!

I'm not sure why Night Lords are more common now to be honest. I guess it must be because they are, in my opinion at least, one of the best looking schemes that Space Marines can have. The reason I am doing Night Lords (again) is because I am updating an army I did a couple of years ago, the army that started this thread :tu:

 

Augustus, I will have an update very soon on that one ;)

Seen these over on instagram but man those models are works of art! Love the gold on Dante and the paint job really shows off how brilliant the conversion work is on the model. Really liking the new Night Lord, looking forward to seeing the contemptor too!

So I have changed the arms with the help from Raztalin who sent me the Multi-melta (thanks mate :D) and obviously redid the paint job on him. I chose metal trim after looking in the Forgeworld books and seeing that the artwork depicted Night Lords with silver trim and I really liked how it looked. I have also started work on the contents of the above mentioned Character Series box:

So there are a couple of corpses missing and the blood but I will add that after the corpses have been added to the base. It is of course Konrad Curze and I am incredibly exited to paint him. I was planning on leaving him as a reward for finishing the Tactical Squad but I have been extra good this year and so I am rewarding myself early ;).

Ok, so this is how far I have currently managed to get with Konrad Curze. I am really enjoying painting this model and I hope to have the main bulk of his body done tonight. After that I will start work on the corpses that sit on the base and adding the blood to it:

After this guy I will be back on the Tactical Squad as their heads arrived this morning. I am not entirely sure what I will add after the current batch of models is completed. Perhaps some Rhinos or a Sicaran. As always let me know what you think!
