General Discussion Secundus

Eh, I would imagine the stasis field would, ironically, protect Andezo from the Exterminatus. I don't know, Andezo is a genuine wild card. He can go any number of different directions. Even Malal.

Yes it would protect him.

Malal could fit as well, depending on how we want to go further with Tzeentch. As the False Primarch might become his champion (which would confuse me, tbh) a fifth god could be feasible.

Will all the Legions apart from the predators survive into M40?

What is your view of how the Suzerainty is organised as opposed to the Imperium? Politically, militarily, religiously, technologically, etc.

Will the Legions of the Suzerainty move closer together following the War of the False Primarch, or will they instead start taking distance from one another? Will the Legions remain unified or will they separate? Will they keep a measure of specialisation, will that specialisation be enhanced or instead will they create mixed units similar to the Deathwatch ?

Will the Astartes stay separate from other military branches both in the Imperium and the Suzerainty, will they lose some responsibilities like in canon or will they instead merge together (like the tyrant's legion to some extent)

Will the title of Warmaster continue to exist following Hectarion's eventual fate?

What is the fate of the nightguard/inquisition?

What happen to the Custodians, and more importantly to the black ships/sisters of silence? Will there be an equivalent to Adepta Sororitas? What other methods/factions can we find to integrate more female representation?

Do we have a resurgence of xenos species seen in the Great Crusade, similar to the Ork Beast but for the Qarith for example?

1. For the most part. I've debated killing off a Legion, but have been cautioned against it. As Blunt said, we might kill off a First Order, but it's up in the air.

2. The Suzerainty will primarily be known for three things. First, transhumanism. Although Nomus, the General, and Kozja were originally trying to create a better balanced government through their triumvirate, the results will take the Suzerainty in a different direction. While the Imperium will ultimately be ruled by man, the Astartes will take charge of the Suzerainty. In place of the original three Primarchs, the three Suzerain Grandmasters will continue ruling in their stead. As such, Space Marines will control most aspects of life within the Suzerainty, for good and for ill.

For a positive aspect, this will lead to an on-going technological edge compared to the Imperium. Freed from the Mechanicum's doctrines, technology will be developed and celebrated, especially in genetics.

Militarily, with the technological edge combined with their limited manpower, the Suzerainty will constantly place an emphasis on an extremely well-equipped yet small combat units. The Imperium will always outnumber the Suzerainty, but the Suzerains can reap a great cost in bloodshed well above their small size.

Where the Suzerainty suffers the most is in religion. Retaining the original zealous Atheism of the Emperor, religion continues to be suppressed and is a constant source of tension between the Suzerainty and the Imperium, especially as the Ecclessiarchy grows in power and scope. This prevents the technological decay, but the Suzerainty is constantly suffering when it comes to warfare against the forces of Chaos. Without the power of faith as a weapon, their technological edge offers little support in this kind of war, and Chaos, the Heretic Astartes in particular, consider the Suzerainty an easy target. I would like to go so far as to represent this in mechanics by the Suzerainty not having a chaplain unit and so on.

That's just where they start. As with the galaxy, there is deterioration that affects the Suzerainty. If the Imperium is doomed to devolve to become a superstitious theocracy, the Suzerainty will become a soulless technocracy.

3. Although there will certainly be huge morale issues, the War of the False Primarch does not lead to any Suzerain Legion to abandoning the Suzerainty. To do otherwise is to invite an eventual dissolution and being subsumed back into the Imperium. As for the rest, we'll see.

4. As hinted by their political structure, the Suzerainty Marines will instead fold the entire Suzerainty military beneath their command.

5. I've discussed this with Sig. He says that Hectarion will choose not to choose a successor Warmaster and believes himself to be unworthy of it. As such, either the title will be resurrected down the road, or it will remain unused and grow in legend/divine importance.

6. The Inquisition, as a creation of Malcador, will inevitably come into its own being, much like in canon. The Nightwatch will be common allies to the Inquisition, but they will only grow in importance after the Insurrection.

7. The Custodians will continue to serve as they do in canon. I really don't know why the Sisters of Silence would randomly disappear (as we see in The Beast Arises series), and I think they'd simply continue to serve.

Yes, I do want to recreate the Sisters of Battle, but I want to do it in a way that better emphasizes feminine strengths, a more realistic 'women-at-war' army. If that makes sense. I'm sure we can come up with other ways to include women in the setting.

8. I don't have specific plans (other than the Orks but that seems to be obvious). Although Talon is excited by the idea of featuring the Slaugth.

I'm about to head to bed, so I'm ending the AMA with the last round from Discord.

Talon: Are there any plans for the Mechanicum in general?

Answer: None outside of the couple of ideas you've pitched to me.

Ideas generated:

·         Constant competition and cold war antics against Suzerainty technology

·         Triggers a war between the Imperium and Suzerainty

·         Nearly is turned on by the Imperium

Good night, everybody.

I would certainly encourage it.

Listening to the video now. One thing that might be in order is a pronunciation guide.

Hehe, i thought using the momentum.is great and wrote.onemindsyndicate and he already responded. So we need to draw togheter 40 factsand lore about the botl.

My idea is, that we use half of the forty for one single fact about each of our legions. ( or give every memner a fact so we have infos about the heredes and the abyssii. So everybody tells one fact about them. And 2 about the lost ones. Then maybe 10 about the plans and the universe and all about the thing in creating an au and 10 facts going deeper into the lore. Every bullet point can habe a looong explanation however making it as long as necessary and as short as possible would draw more people to listen to it..and we can make many more videos

Just my ideas how we could handle this.

For the 40 Facts video, I propose that each Primarch and each Legion get one fact apiece. That gives us 36 facts. How do we want to handle the remaining 4 facts? 1 for Mortera, 1 for the Abyssii? 1 for Selene? 1 for a unique Knight House/Titan Legio?
