So, Burning of Prospero showed up on Saturday and I've been working on some of that. However, a Kromlech order I did with a friend showed up and I've managed to throw together a Siegebreaker consul for my Dark Angels out of spare parts thanks to one of the legs from Kromlech:

 

Probably going to use a different head though. Definitely like the proof of concept though.

In other news, finally starting to paint again because I just hit a wall and lost motivation for almost a month

 

So, my PopGoesTheMonkey order FINALLY showed up, so I can finally start these:

 

I, Gederas, embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of May pledge to complete 5 Cataphractii Terminators of the Dark Angels, as well as Mephiston the Lord of Death, 10 Incusors, 3 Eliminators and 3 Suppressors of the Blood Angels to the defence of the Imperium by month's end.

 

 

The Blood Angels are an outstanding Commission I need to finish for a friend. Might as well finish them now

Yeah, I originally didn't like them (wasn't a fan of Reivers), but they've grown on me.

Currently trying to figure out what bases to use, as I have 7 Sector Mechanicus bases and 25 Sector Imperialis bases, but 15 Cataphractii.

 

I'm currently thinking of using the Sector Mechanicus and Sector Imperialis that look like indoors for them.

So, I got a Corvus Blackstar today to make into a Stormraven for my Dark Angels, because it's aesthetically similar to the Nephilim and Dark Talon.

 

But good LORD does removing the Deathwatch iconography suck :lol:

Yup yup! I was smart and smooshed the Milliput out so it's nearly flat with the panels already. Currently I'm waiting on it to cure fully, then I'm going to sand it down smoother. Going to put some Dark Angel icons on the milliput-covered areas on the wings.

 

In an update about the Blackraven, I've filled in all the negative space with Milliput, and finished removing the iconography from the doors and put Dark Angels icons on it.

The Rhino or Land Raider doors? Sadly, no.

 

I'd have to carve out the doors that are already attached to the troop bay of the Blackstar, and then I'd have to modify either of those doors, as they're not the right size.

 

However, I have finished them. You can also see where I figured out to attach the "turret weapons" of the Stormraven in this picture as well:

 

Also got the upper fuselage ready, just need to sand it down to smooth it out:
