Strange that they'd split the intercessors given that it is ten unique sculpts.

Yeah this is so strange and disappointing. It costs GW pennies to add the full sprue and it would make this smaller box legitimately great.

At least it looks like the Sergeant and the AGL are on the same half-sprue so you get a functionally complete squad (although the Chainsword is the weakest option for melee weapons).

I guess it calls back to this guy.

Feeling nostalgic so I kitbashed a Space Marine Sergeant to try replicate the pose from the 2nd Edition monopose tactical marine sergeant. . . . . . . . #spacemarine #spacemarines #warhammer40k #

They’ve doubled down on the stupid knee rims, not a single model without them.  Other than a few MK7 faces and the odd variant chest plate, the Intercessors look the same as the old kit

hehe, strangely enough, the greaves on MK X are one of the few things I liked about primaris. Quite fond of the rims.

Glad to see the landspeeder making a come back. Is there any comparison with the old ones? I’m assuming it’s most likely bigger like the outrider bikes are compared to orginal bikers.

Also happy to see that the primaris/firstborn is again being very much downplayed , with no mention of it by GW themselves from what I can see. The universe is slowly healing.

Are you sure? I see only 12 infantry models (10 infantry, 2 characters) and the Land Speeder. Call me cynical but you're most likely getting half of this sprue in that box. Each side has 5 intercessor bodies.

Calling these push fit is crazy.

They are, but they've been chopped into so many pieces, it's like a horror movie on a sprue. "Event Horizon" the boxed set.

We have such wonders to show you...

In my opinion it doesn’t look worse than putting together the push fit assault Intercessors. So mileage may vary based on one’s opinion of push fit assault Intercessors.

Nice, these look like they can be very useful if they are cheap enough, rush in to take pot shots then hide and just be a nuisance. I was expecting them to be in squads of 2 but this is fine.

These will be great support for my Sword Brethren, the Speeders move when they shoot and the Sword Bros after the enemy falls back! More movement phases than Eldar!

I will sound like a heretic, but for a long time I was never a huge fan of landspeeders. I liked the model but always found that the rules never excited me.

But now? I love the updated model and I love these rules! I can happily see myself fielding multiples to harrass targets from a distance before darting into cover again. I'll defintely be sticking to multi melta and onslaught, A heavy flamer is just too close range for my tastes.

The fact I like these rules has also helped with a hobby decision. I'll be painting a good chunk of the launch box as Ultramarine 7th Company.

You know what would be great? A new Land Speeder Storm and a bike scout release.

Yes. Totally and personally the storm should also be able to transport reivers and associated armour types for the most sneakyness

Yeah, that is shockingly well-written for modern GW!

EE is excited for #NEW40K, confirmed! Caught in 4K!

Not even Valrak had this rumour..!

What a tweest!

All joking aside, I might (MIGHT) be interested in trying out 11th as on the whole it looks like an improvement over 10th. The rules seem a bit more solid and less "gamey" and if they're bringing back even some wargear costs that's gotta count for something. And hey, if nothing else I can use it to meet and then lure people into trying older editions!

Am I reading that Fly rule correctly?

A flying model has -2M any time it wants move through friendly infantry.

No, you would just do a normal move instead of taking to the skies, and get the full distance.

What's up with GeeDub and their push fit stuff?

People be buying a box which costs hundreds of dollars, pounds, euros, whatever, also bought clippers or a hobby knife, and they can't afford or be trusted with plastic glue?

The majority of the models in this box are intended for the editions starter sets - so push-fit makes sense.

It’s been the same for the past two editions, and with AoS too.

I would speculate that the Ork Rig, Banner, Doc and Big Boss are all on one sprue, same for the Ancient, Chaplain and Eradicators, and those will be a ‘Hero’s of the Chapter’ style deal.

Which is to say, available in Armageddon, and then a slightly overpriced ‘direct only’ sprue.

Just because they've done it forever doesn't mean people couldn't afford glue

I fully puts me off getting those boxed sets, just my opinion held it since the beginning of time. I have bought a couple of minis second hand, bit almost never the whole thing, I like kitbashing and converting and prefer more easily interchangeable bits.

It prevents youg kids from overdosing on VOC emissions from plastic glue and suffering premature brain rot.

See GW not only takes your money but also looks out for your health, so you can continue to spend money

Never had an issue customizing push fit models. Just a different tactic to modify compared to multi part kits. The building and kit bashing is my favorite part.

For me, I like that I can put it together faster without sacrificing conversion opportunities. So my thought about box sets is it lets people get the minis good for play. I could play a bit while getting them painted.
