The death of a nightmare, and the return of a monarch

As the others have said, looking good so far In terms of C+C, you probably want to figure out your tense; the switches from past to present are a bit off-putting? There's a lot of deus ex machine stuff, too (e.g. Angron is just about to kill Mortarian... but in the nick of time, the Ultramarines fly in and save the day). That's personal preference tbh, and probably a fair reflection of GW writing atm. Keep up the good work -

Which fallen primarch has the greatest potential...

I highly doubt Magnus will turn (Crimson King shenanigans aside) - GW will capitalise on a 'turned' primarch with a model, broken rules etc. Magus has already been covered. I still like Omegon turning (but being highly disillusioned with both Chaos and the Imperium, and going renegade). -

(Insert joke about the Lion being a traitor here) I reckon it'd be awesome if Alpharius (if he's still alive post-PoD)/Omegon backstabbed the Ruinous Powers and rejoined the Imperium... somehow. It's highly unfeasible but it'd be awesome imo :). -

Who would be the least successful leader of the Heresy?
foamy248 replied to Zeratil's topic in + AGE OF DARKNESS +
I'd throw the Khan and his White Scars into the mix. He had too few friends/allies among the primarchs to be taken seriously and I doubt he'd have been able to turn his brothers to the Dark Gods. Similar to Magnus, it probably would've ended up with the other Legions doggypiling on them. -

Fixed that for you :P. In all seriousness, the Angry Marines are looking awesome! The conversions are great and filled with so much character and motion, which certainly suits the subject. Keep up the great work! P.s. - looking forward to seeing some paint!

Lookin good :) Are you going to do some lightning designs on the Night Lords?

He's obviously seen the gw release schedule and is overjoyed at the prospect of seeing models with names that rhyme with "Jion El'Lohnson" and The Bemperor of Bankind EDIT: ninja'd by Berzul :)

I think Tiny Tim means that there are also lots of external influences at play (like existing cults, for example). So, it's really up to you tbh, as there are a multitude of scenarios that could change the citizen's allegiance (the citizens could also turn to Chaos Undivided, and worship the pantheon as a whole). If you really want specifics (and are assuming that the citizens are fully aware of the pantheon's nature and the nature of each of the gods), I would say that the first two would turn to Tzeentch - idk, but I reckon the offer of knowledge and power would sway them. The third would probably turn to Khorne, given he seeks strength/revenge/martial power? Hope that helps :)
-
Yeah, it depends on your list tbh. If you need something assaulty (which is an area AL are sometimes weak in), I'd recommend Firedrakes (2+/3++ with thunderhammers) or Justaerin (great overall rules). I don't think there are any units that the Alpha Legion would shy away from using, and pretty much everything can be justified fluff-wise.

Your Ravens are looking awesome, dude! The Gal Vorbak kit works really week with the morphing nature of DH RG, imo, so well done! :) I'd echo SanguiniusReborn though - adding a spot colour would help make the model pop. Keep up the great work!

I'd say that some of our HQ's like Aun'Va and Longstrike are certainly quite good. Additionally, the new detachments work quite well, IMHO, as now Tau are much more flexible (e.g. entire battle suit armies, large detachments of hammerheads). EDIT: I've been going through the Tau rules again, and I just realised how overcosted crisis suits can get. IIRC they're 40 pts for the barebones chases, but the weapon options are really expensive.

Primarch Confrontations at the Siege of Terra
foamy248 replied to b1soul's topic in + THE BLACK LIBRARY +
Ooh, that's really good. I'd like to see the more emotional side of a primarch who is usually so scheming and taciturn. It would be a massively stark contrast if he is fighting for the vengeance/memory of his brother/only true friend. Does Dorn know about Omegon? If not, well... the look on wittle Wogal's face would be priceless. Additionally, it could be the chance to reveal more about Omegon, perhaps why there were two of them, or how he even cam into creation. It could be the chance to lift Omegon from being Alpharius' boring shadow to someone deep, interesting and unique (or as unique as a genetically identical twin can be)!
