Hi Folks,
Today’s blog entry is a little bit specific as it deals with something different from my usual inputs: instead of reporting hobbying progress, I will talk about a trail I did for a new technique (à la TITH – i.e. something that is not new in general but new for me).
The technique is often reported on purpose of adding details and create battle damages or war-torn marks on miniatures. But beyond painting damages, the sponge might be used on purpose of
So am I back from Indiana. I have to head back to move In-Laws into a Retirement Center, in a few weeks. And of course everything goes sideways at work moment I get back. So hobby time has been non existence. Silver Lining is LGS not get Saturnine until Monday, so I can get everything I need to do first i.e. my XIXth Legion and Exorcists Call to Arms Vows, that I have not started. And won't have time this weekend.
I did start on building one of My XIVth Legion Commanders, not sure w
Hit the throttle on the Wreckas last week. I've been painting pretty slowly this year all things considered, decided to change that with this project. Finished up free-hand on a few items, got the squigs painted up, did the bases and oil washes last week resulting in a final project I'm pretty happy with!
I dug out some of the leftover terrain bits I had from the sector imperialis/Chalnath terrain. I put a fine terrain paste around those bits and then put in some sand to act as larg
The Resistance have finally captured the war machines they believe they require to make their stand.
Brutus, the Malcador, reliable, dependable the spine of their battleline. She will not fail them. She will hold the line, her battlecannon roaring, her sponsons blazing as she paves the way for the Resistance's advance.
The Iron Duke, his twin Earthshaker cannons blasting holes in the enemy's fortifications. He guards those retreating and the wounded behind his massive blast shield

The first battle the Cruentes took part in for this Crusade was 25PL against a mate's Death Guard. This was his first 40k game, so we kept the mission to a simple one from Beyond the Veil. I chose the Agenda that would get me Dark God Glory points for performing an action at the centre of the board.
The story behind this mission is that our forces are jointly invading an Imperial world that has until recently been isolated by Warp storms. As Imperial reinforcements
With the Blogs feature unlocked, I have decided to move my previous efforts from the World Eaters subforum to my own little corner of the B&C. Here I plan to catalogue my force's trials and tribulations as we carve our way through our group's own sub-sector of space.
War Zone Lalor is entirely a homebrew setting, with the background having been produced over three separate Crusade campaigns that our group has played over the past couple of years.

Bardûl, the Hand of Khorne
Formerly a member of the World Eaters' elite Terminator squads, Bardûl rose to prominence when the former master of the Cruentes, Achaeus, descended irrevocably into madness. Leading his most trusted Terminators against the blood-maddened tyrant, Bardûl attacked Achaeus on his command deck. Despite grievous injuries, Bardûl pushed past his adversary's defences and rammed his chainfist into the Astartes's innards.
He was not automatically granted
I will admit this is pretty based. But you kids kill me. 47 is the new 37 maybe even younger. You are dangerously close to having half your life left which means if you can survive your 40's (not everyone can) you've got a heck of alot left.
@W.A.Rorie, I really appreciate that you've shared this here, and thank you for doing so.
This is one of the things that still 'sweep me off my feet', that after so many years in the hobby, there are still stories like yours, which remind me how much more the hobby is: it is not the plastic crack that we hoard, nor the glue we sniff or the brushes we lick. It is the people that make it what it is, the community, places such as B&C, and what brings us together. Maybe is the autumn
I know exactly where you are coming from, @WBRBloom. I hit 47 years old, earlier this year and was like I have been in the GW world for almost 30 years. Lots of Highs and Lows in the gaming world and personal life. Sometimes, I want to quit the game, hobby, and move on. Then I am back in.
One of the stories that I would like to share is:
I got into the Hobby during my late into Senior year in High School, earlier that school year I began dating a long time female frien
