This Saturday I attended a tournament under German TTM rules with modifications of no "seize the initiative" and fixed missions, deployment zones and objective markes. No Maelstrom, ("Big guns never tire"(you decide the role, instead of fixed "heavy support" about your opponent) and "Vital Intelligence(primary and secondary missions). I recently started a gatekeeping thread about Feirros and Leviathans and kinda Repulsor Castles. We were 16 people. 2nd place went to a Orga-Member who does play Iron Hands for 2 weeks (really, green sprayed Iron Hands). 4th place went to Iron Hands as well (Meta Jump for a seasoned veteran (TTM-Championship Member). Meta was VERY Knights heavy (2 + 2 ) (Imperial and Chaos), 2 Ork, 4 Iron Hands (3 copy paste lists, and my list "Tourn 2 Champs"), 2 Custodes, 1 Guard, 1 Necron, 1 Imperial Fists, 1 Ultra Marine. There were about 10 Leviathans across the hall ( I did not play one). 1st opponent against me, which also did get 1st place, to get a reference what might be "stressfull" for Iron Hands players. The only thing I regret with my list was to have taken Null Zone instead of Might of Heroes. So, Iron Hands are beatable, but rewarding for point and click games, list writing and THE MENTIONED rules/conditions we played at. I am interested how they fare before and after Chapter Approved. My "critisized" Iron Hands lists might have trouble against Orks, I am serious, watch out! I think "Classic Hands" might do well against purer Knights Lists and Eldar on shoot downs, but mixed with Admech is a hard push if u want to win by points. I hope you can contribute how "Classic Hands" can fare against Tau, Dark Eldar, Eldar (flying Alaitoc or other stuff), Guards etc. I had a better chance to win with "my" list than classic, since I go more midfield and wide but it is in no way an easy match up for me and you guys. Last point, be aware your Feirros can 1 turn sniped by a Vindicare (that was a fun time), Cogitated Martydom is totally worth it to burn almost every turn.

Taking a propper break from painting white and wanting something easier i decided to go safe for the ETL and paint ...Black, over a light grey primer because why not. ~ So that being said its time to get my self ready to dive head first into the Iron 10th. First up is my test mini using the following method. Light grey Primer Dark brown base coat Sponged lighter brown Sponged Lighter brown/yellow (XV88) Varnished layer hairspray Black Oxford blue chipping with a wetbrush slight edge highlights with oxfordblue. Lots of weathering powders. so i pickedup shadow spear and built 10 infiltrators, a LT, three emilinators, and the first suppressor (god emperor i hate this gys)

Hi, wonder if the community can help me. I was playing against iron hands the other day and have an issue with Feirros’s student of history warlord trait. My opponent charged a group of my eldar with feirros, killed one in combat which left 3 models in the charged unit. At the end of the fight phase my opponent hen stated he was “consolidating” with Feirros...... so he moved out of combat in the same turn he had charged in. My opponent stated that you consolidate at the end of the fight phase and since feirros’s ability says he can go 6” in any direction my opponent took that as being able to leave combat. Was this being played properly? It seems very powerful

Greetings brothers. I have always been a fan of the Iron Hands original fluf, dating back to the ancient days of 3rd edition 40k when the Iron Hands first had their Index Astartes in WD 261. With the release of 7th edition I started building up my own Iron Hands force. But due to a variety of issues I was never really able to finish them. But with the release of 8th edition, I have newfound motivation to finally finish up this army I have been messing around with. I have not been one for painting; probably have not touched a brush in a decade. My true love is conversions, honestly. Sadly my entire force of Iron Hands is bare and unpainted, but I do plan on ending my painting drought soon. Once I get my mini's based up I can begin undercoating them and then painting them in earnest. But anyways, on with the pictures: Apothecary Librarian Primaris Hellblasters. I know I shared these already but I am including them for completion sake. Venerable Dreadnought Ironclad Dreadnought. A friend gave me Furioso Dreadnought and I wasted no time in making it Iron Hands appropriate. Centurions. If you were like me (and most of the community at the time of their release) I hated the derp fists and chest missiles that the vanilla Centurions had. So I converted them to be more like mini-dreadnoughts, with the fluff reasoning that the marines inside these armored suits are permanently hard-wired into them to further embrace the Machine. Still very much a WIP as I figure out what I want to do with their necks and add more cabling and struts around the arms. The arms are made from styrene tubes that I pinned and glued into place. Typhon Heavy Siege Tank. Sadly does not have the giant 7" blast it used to, but 2d6 hits at Str 10 AP -5 D 3 is nothing to sneeze at. And I still have these sitting on my shelf: Still in the process of updating shoulderpads, chapter icons, and base sizes for most of the infantry models there. Thinking on getting some magnets and converting the Vindicator to a Deimos Laser Destroyer. I also have a Las pred and a Land Raider in the works, and as well as my Clanlord. I put my original conversion idea for him on hold until I get a copy of the new Space Marine Codex in my hand. Which I preordered today. Anyways, comments and criticisms welcome!
