The warpsmith as a stripped-down Chaos Lord or even Aspiring Champion if I want him to be.-

From the album: Postcards from Wælheim
The warpsmith is completely magnetized, except for that head (which just isn't glued on yet). I used a bunch of magnets for the servo-arms because 1. easier to transport; 2. don't want the failcast breaking, so the magnets will give way if too much pressure is placed on them.; 3. kung-fu pose-ability!; 4. he's so cool that I might want to use him as a full-on Chaos Lord sometimes, so I can switch his arms out for different artefacts and what-not.-

Why have one tank when you can have two - or more? The current Guard vehicles are good kits and lend themselves to magnetising well for the most part, so in collaboration with the talented Elmo9141 and Kilofix I have embarked on a grand crusade to cover the topic in the entirety for both novice and experienced magnet user alike. Frater- any advice for magnetizing surpressors? That flight stand looks very fragile. Thanks!

Ok - Dark Eldar units are spiky, delicate, and generally awkward to store and transport. How do you guys/gals manage? Post pictures, if you have them! (I'll grab some later, I promise.) Pluck foam - how deep? Magnetised your sails, bases, whatnot - what size magnets? Deets please. For myself - I used 4x2mm magnets to replace the ball and socket joints on my hellions. For my venoms, I used 5x1mm ones to replace the socket of the flying stand where it meets the actual base - since I wanted to pretty them up a bit. I'm still struggling to figure out how to transport the little gits though, especially the raider/razorwing/etc that I intend to pick up at some point - it's hard to judge the kind of foam necessary, and a lot of companies seem to think you'll store them with the flying stand (and sails) permanently glued on, like a lunatic. Hence, the thread! Show me your solutions.

I'm familiar enough with using magnets but there's one thing I've not done yet and that is stacking magnets to create stronger bonds. I know it works of course, but I'm wondering how much? For context, I'm magnetising the snapping claws of my Keeper of Secrets because I don't fancy chartering a freighter for each game and while the join itself is straight forward enough it is a rather long arm and is almost horizontal: I currently have a 3x1mm N42 neodymium magnet in the shoulder and arm and the strength of their pull is good maybe enough... I would prefer that it was definitely strong enough so I won't have to worry about the arm getting knocked off during games. I could potentially rework the arm to put two of the 3x1mm magnets in on top of each other but what sort of improvement would I see?
