So, I've been thinking of making a Tau Recon style list to thematically go with my Kroot Army. I've dabbled in Tau proper here and there, but I'm far from an expert, so I wanted to know from those more experienced if this seems like something that would work. It doesn't have to be super competitive or anything, but if you see any obvious gaps/flaws in the list, that would be great to know. T'au Mont'Ka (2000 Points) Darkstrider: 60pts Pathfinders with Ion Rifles 2x10: 180pts Pathfinders with Rail Rifles x10: 90pts Stealth Battlesuits with Fusion Blasters 3x6: 360pts Ghostkeel with Cyclic Ion Raker 2x1: 320pts Ghostkeel with Fusion Collider x1: 160pts Pirahnas with Burst Cannons 2x3: 310pts Pirahnas with Fusion Blasters 1x3: 155pts Vespid with GL and Rail Rifle 2x10: 260pts Vespid with Neutron Blasters 1x5: 65pts Kroot Hounds x5: 40pts Aside from the thematic recon / sabotage force feel, the idea is very much in the Mont'Ka style of hitting very hard and fast. Everything in the list either infiltrates and/or scouts, or compensates with a very fast move profile to get into the opponents face quickly and remove key targets. The Stealthsuits guide the massive volume of Pirahna missiles, giving them re-roll hits and wounds, to take any hard targets off the table, then moving on to mow down infantry. Meanwhile the Ghostkeels focus on the elite infantry with support from the Vepsid and Pathfinders. The extra Vespid unit gets to be an action monkey and the Kroot hounds just run around being annoying since I had an extra 40 points in the list. I kinda wanted to include a Firesight Marksman for thematic reasons, but he just seems... real bad right now. Thoughts?

Greeting B and C! This feels a bit odd... Plonking Xenos down but here we go! I have been working on some Tau. For no real reason other than a change to my usual power armour obsession (iron warriors, angels sanguine, plague marines etc). These were really just a painting army. But I went eBay ad and have quite a lot. I will likely sell a lot though to make some space as a hour move is on the horizon but here is the current state of play. http://i.imgur.com/uXzQank.jpg Terrible, over bright pic. So the theme is crap pictures and lots of white :) After these I might do 3 stealth drones then a couple more crisis suits and some pathfinders. I also have a devilfish. Another 3 stealth as well.
