now had a chance to dig my chaos marines back out, been busy. but as requested Uveron here are some more pictures, didnt have time to sort wich ones it was so took the lot and photed them all :)

 

they arnt pretty but they are passable to play with for now ;)

i killed the contemptor, now i can rebuild him, i have the technology. I can make him better stronger.. faster!

magnetized arms but really missing a tutorial showing how to magnetize missile pods on the top though

I just blasted through this whole thread. There is something about your color palette that I can't help but love. I am honestly saying this is the best looking (non-legion) chaos army I have ever seen.

 

And your conversion work is truly inspiring. Those are the best Oblits I have ever seen.

 

This army really makes we want to start chaos.

thanks TE, i like clean looking models, gonna do a mix some clean looking sons of horus(just to try it) but modt will be chaos style, slowly transitioning twords my black legion.

 

and really like your voice log suggestions, at first i been thinking something military sounding, but like the Balrfire Chronicles too.

That raider looks awesome with the extra chaos armour, really beefs it up and makes it look like it has been around for 10,000 years.

Indeed, it looks suitably Gothic. The gun barrels could use some more ornamentation like the dragon heads from the CSM LR kit or the leaf pattern of the Ven Dread Lascannon. Maybe also put a chaos star/eye of horus/some other embellishment on the gun housings on the sides.

I think it looks great as-is. Those dragon/gargoyle heads have always looked pretty wonky to me, and may just make the whole kit a bit too busy considering the upgrade armor. Anyway, just one shmuck's opinion.

dont know what the leaf pattern is, but might add some trim to the las cannons too, not overly fond of the dragon heads tough.

its always nice to hear suggestions and ideas, might look even better if i ever get the time to paint it, no real deadlines hobbyvise right now other than a local 3week 30k campainge in febuary, and the LFGS is putting up a betrayal at Calth as main prize. so i need to build and paint up some sons of horus :)
