As always, the crispiness of the paint job is eye-watering. The white slaaneshi symbol on the pink armour is just... amazing. Seriously.... I hate you a little.

Nitty-picketty-party-poop: the blue trim on the pink shoulder pad doesn't do it for me. I get that you're going for a contrasting colour on the colour wheel, but the tone of the colour is somehow off. Perhaps pastel blue would have been a better choice on the pinky-greeny guy? It *does* work on the metal one, which actually could use a little more imo :biggrin.: - bone on the bony areas or something like that. No pun intended!!!!

Beautiful work, forte - you're at it again!

Don't panic. The blue trim is only the base and shade. Highlights still to be done. And the trim on the Chrome one is purple (but shaded blue so I'll let you off).

The white patterns are done with VMA White. No thinning either. Flows nicely from a brush too. Suppose I need to try more free hand stuff with these too.

OK, I'll stop panicking ;) . You *should* do more of this freehand. It looks soo good. :wub.:

Nice touch on the freehand forte.

Many thanks. And the Carcharodon Kill Team is still on the cards to happen btw. I've even bought a couple of weathering pigments to use as I want to do a more realistic weathered look to those.

yep those freehands are coming along beautifully

Much thankings. Really need to work at them and push myself.

Yes. Sat down for some daylight painting. Enter the rain clouds and couldn't paint properly. Night time with lamps it is.

Something I did realise thought, is I'm a bit stuck on what colour to use for the weapon casings. Suggestions on a postcard to...

Maybe wrap the weapon casings in flesh or a flesh like color?

But late to add some flesh but will kkeep that in mind for future models.

Maybe the same purpley blue-black that you used on the shoulder pads? Seems like it would contrast quite attractively with the bright pastels and chrome.

Possible. We shall see.

Ok. Just to prove that although my Call of Chaos progress has slacked, I have still been painting.

My first distraction was two models from Malifaux (Seamus & Copycat Killer) for a Facebook competition which I managed to win the Intermediate category.

Then there is a Secret Santa which I am currently working on for SlavetoDarkness and can be seen in this spoiler. Please don't describe it in posts though without using spoilers.

Another update on the SlavetoDarkness mini:

Skin pretty much done now and armour is getting there. Still plenty to do and running our of valuable time.

Time to get this posted very soon.

And also I've started to prepare this which may be part of my Massive Voodoo painting competition entry.

So things are still chaotic but moving along. Though I'm likely to miss the CoC deadline.

Well, cheers for stopping by as always and don't forget to keep your brushes wet (unless dry brushing or working with pigments) :thanks: :tu:

Looks awesome - and the new project is looking particularly nice - Can't wait to see your take on our favorite legion!

Also, make the CoC deadline or else... ;)

You mean my second take. Remember my magnetized Lord with many arm and backpack options from last year's CoC?

Remember my magnetized Lord with many arm and backpack options from last year's CoC?

Nope :D  I've only been active around these parts since the end of January of this year... :tu:
