Maybe I should have gone for the black, firm ones. They don't stick at all though which is really good. Made it a bit firmer to work with so some isn't as thin as I should have made it. Here's where it stands. Faces still need nose bumps but otherwise pretty much ready for primer. Captain Semper's "Call of Chaos"! Which mean I am now allowed to start painting my Noise Marines and Chaos Spawn. First things first though, I have to post pre-painted pictures and now that they are all primed and ready here's the vow and minis I aim to finish before January 15th 2015. I forte, answer the Call of Chaos and vow to complete: 6 Noise Marines inc. Blastmaster & Champion with Power Sword 1 Slaanesh Chaos Spawn before January 15th 2015. If I do this successfully I will receive the Mark of Pustulant Glory and continue on the path to ruin. If I fail I’ll wear the Mark of the Lost and I expect no mercy on my soul. Forté Posted October 28, 2014 Author Share Posted October 28, 2014 +++ UPDATE +++ The tail head on the Spawn had a bit of a rework so I hope you like it I'm also trying to get used to a new camera and I didn't bother setting up lamps or anything for these. Also added some base colours to three Noise Marines. This is a starting point and lots will be done to them ;) So one with a purple base (the photo is pretty poor), one chrome (which has had a purple wash), and one with fluorescent green/pink/blue-green. Lots to experiment with here. There's the proof that I have begun to paint (and the bases have had the first colours too) and hopefully with some holiday time from work, I'll be able to get much more done. Is the possessed kit worth getting for bits? Yes it is. Legs, bodies, arms, and backpacks have been used on these. They fit well with the other kits too. Slave to Darkness Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 I don't mind the 'nettes, I just wish the moldline didn't run down the center of the face, the amount of noses I have shaved flat because of that, also a little more 'movement' in the arms would be nice, they remind me of women who have used bad deodorant and don't want to raise their arms so you cant see the underarm pit stains on their clothes. While working on a certain Secret Santa for SlavetoDarkness last night I managed to slap a bit more paint on the first two Noise Marines. Not quite the eye melters I was planning but there are still four more to play with so feel free to throw in some C&C. Although I'm tempted to try and do the Champion in a light marble colour.
