Used today to do some testing stuff - for one, I tried my new Iwata HP-CH airbrush on Morathi's wings:

Also experimented with watereffect for the goo/toxic stuff for my Zone Mortalis!

Ok, this is something I never thought I'd say, but uh, very nice goo. The top image had me thinking it was too heavy but it dried to a very convincing effect.

I'm using a german water effect aswell as flourescent airbrush paints for the colouration:

Important for me was that the water effect isn't getting hot, since the ZM tiles are still resin ^^

Yeah, that stuff looks like you really wouldn't want to be anywhere near it. The test on those wings looks great.

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

I was a bit busy working on Morathi the last weeks, but a certain Forgeworld order arrived and I could start to work on some Necromunda stuff finally .... :)

Nice. How's the quality of the FW Escher upgrade set? The flimsy parts like the barrel of the needle rifle etc?

Not that great. Will have to send them an email, one of the needle rifles looks like this sadly :/

 

 

Also, the nicer looking plasma gun was quite washed out, so I couldn't use it. Also, IMHO the whole kit isn't all that modular, nor is the FW upgrade kit (which also only fits with certain bodies ....). Add to that the lack of certain equipment (more power whips, combat shot guns?!?) and the mass of hand flamers .... well, they could have done better. Still some really nice designs there !

I'm painting their Necromunda bases seperatly ^^
