Feeling the hair sculpt! The swap of armour plate on the Melta gun was a great little detail too. The Orlock minis are lovely I’m sure you’ll have a blast working with those. Awesome stuff as always.

Stray

Thanks Stray :), I am looking forward to starting the Orlock Cultists, they are lovely minis. I had to trim the armour plate back a fair bit to get it to fit because the DG minis are considerably bigger but glad it came out well enough :tu:

The latest squad update is looking great and that’s a fantastic idea for the cultists.

Thanks Bio :), Hopefully I'll have the squad finished this week and then I can start my Cultists. I also have plans for a unit of Night Lords Berzerkers for use in 40k so when I have a couple of those built I'll be sure to put them up here. Just have a few little tweaks to make :D

Thanks for the comments guys!

Morning all,

I have managed to get the first four of my Orlock Cultists painted. I am pretty pleased with the colours and they do match my Night Lords well enough. The only downside to this is scale as they are quite tall but that's something I can live with:

I am assembling the next batch at the moment and getting them prepped for painting. I hope to have the cultists and another couple of marines finished by the end of Saturday as I have a small game to play on Sunday. As a side project I have been building a second Contemptor with two fists and plasma guns so He should be finished soon too. It's all go around here :D

C&C always welcome!

Nemac

Thanks guys :smile.:

Sagentus, they are the standard weapons that come with the Orlock Gang :smile.:. The only change I made was to add the axe from the Cultist champion to the Orlock Champion.

Had another go at making a video. This time Konrad Curze in 360 degress:

Let me know what you think.

Nice execution on the cultists, clean and crisp as always. My only concern is how they stack up size-wise with your marines, I got the impression the scale of the Necromunda minis was a bit larger than normal 40k/30k scale.

Wow, those orlock cultists look amazing. Love your painting style, it really makes the colors pop out so nicely. Hope to see the jump pack lord painted up!

Thanks Vairo, I did decide not to paint the Lord until I had finished the CSM squad but as I have nearly finished the Cultists I suppose I could :D

Thanks Heinrich :). You are right, the scale is a little larger but fortunately they don't stand taller than my marines at least. If it starts to look odd I will probably build up my marines bases with cork to try and increase the height slightly.

They look great! Maybe in a future update could we see them next to your marines?

Thanks hushrong :). I will get that picture added asap.

Always a source of inspiration, Nemac!

Thanks HNL, glad you like what I'm doing :)

Afternoon all,

I may have got a little carried away and not stuck to my plans regarding finishing the CSM squad before painting the Chaos Lord. I have however finished ten other models including some marines and cultists which you've already seen. So here he is:

I also made a video to show him in 360 degrees. I need a little more practice with these videos though as they look alright on my computer but when I upload to YouTube they seem to become worse quality. If anyone has any tips regarding that then I would be very grateful :):

As always C&C is very welcome.

So, Mk III legs and shoulder pads, Mk IV chest (both likely from the Heresy range). i'll hasard a guess that the claws are from the heresy terminator range but trimmed to two ? And I can't figure where the cape and jump pack come from.

Either way, stupendous job !

The lord looks fantastic! May his hunts be bloody and filled with the cries of his prey!

Ciler, Nemac stated that the cape and tabard are from a Dark Eldar archon. I had been eyeballing one of their 'doctor' HQ units for the same reason but never gave the archon a thought before.

Thanks Ciler :), all parts correct and the claws are from the Tartaros Terminator kit. As hushrong mentioned, the cloak is indeed from the Dark Eldar Archon.

Thanks hushrong, I have a game coming up soon so I will be sure to let you all know how he performs :D

Gorgeous work, love the pose, gear and paint job. Stellar job Nemac.

Thanks Heinrich :), glad you like him!

Lord looks great, that really is a killer pose.

Thanks Pearson :)

Not sticking to your plans and bringing the world that Lord was definitely worth it. The mix match of armour types works very well on him.

Stray

Thanks Stray. I have mixed the armour on all of my Night Lords. I have a thing about large shoulder guards :D

I should have further updates soon but I am in the process of painting Big Bobby G for my brother so that is taking up a fair bit of time. I will be sure to share him here though.

Nemac

Afternoon all,

As promised here is a WIP picture of the Roboute Guilliman I am painting for my brother. This model is a hell of a lot of fun to paint, I may have to get one for myself:

I will be back on the Night Lords after this, though this has inspired me to revisit my Blood Angels at some point soon.

Nemac

The Night Lords Commander is looking absolutely fantastic! It's a brilliant kitbash, with a lovely paintjob to boot!

Robby G seems to be coming along nicely too, although I am just not a huge fan of the base model. I really love what you are doing with the base, though!

Thanks Kraut :), I agree there is something about the model I don't like over much. It's why I've had it since October and have only started painting it this last week :blush.:. I am trying to keep the base similar to that of my Night Lords so when I get a game against my brother it will match. I also forgot to mention that under his left foot I had to add some extra rocks because I magnetised him to his base for easier transport so that he hopefully won't lose any of the spikey bits when hes put in the figure case :).

More to follow soon.
