Been a few pages of catching up, and it's always such a pleasure. You've probably got my favorite 40k army out there, and there are so many great contenders. Keep it up, frater!

The berzerker/champ is looking absolutely fantastic! Personally speaking, I would indeed replace the knife with a shield -- those Blood Reaver daggers always strike me as looking a bit too big and awkward to really be wielded as an off-hand weapon like that.

So as said I think. I didn't get much time on Wed to paint, with my local store not been open due to staff illness & with work happen that home. So only got ad shade & a bit paint.

Also though I'd add the fifth member of the squad for ETL. The Space Wolf who join this lot. So quickly getting the shade & bit detail done. Then he going to get painted tomorrow along with the other member of the squad.

I will have Blood for the Blood god splatter over the Space Wolves part of the armour, try show him nearly been a complete Khorne Berserker & his past almost gone. There will be a few other Fallen Marines from Legion & Chapter. I'm going add a Iron Warrior for exsample & a Iron Hand next & then plan out the Champion conversion - or I might keep the first model as the Champion for the unit.

Here how the squad looking so far.

So aim get this lot painted tomorrow & for ETL reason be complete. Base need to wait until the new ruin are release in two week time.

Update

Mange to find a few spare parts & it allowed me to build up another member for the Berserker unit. Once a member of the 5th Grand Company of the IV Legion, some how find himself among those of the XII Legion & other who've went to far down the path of Khorne.

Then here the rest of the unit who are complete for the ETL, just base but they need to wait less than two week now.

I was trying to get the Rhino finish for my Lascannon unit of Havocs. But it taken a bit longer go get done between the plasticard armour plates & painting inside the tank before building the Rhino. But it should be ready for next week. But mange to quickly get the mini Knight built yesterday & bit conversion done today.

Then Bastion, for ETL this is going be complete. There a lot more work to get done but it been bit busy here with work been done to the house & so I can move on & get the second Bastion painted pretty soon.

Small update

Another FW Iron Warrior Dreadnought arrive today. Orignaly I was plan use part toward a Contemptor Dreadnought conversion. But I'm now sort thinking keep the model to one side for the time been. It just, if Sister of Battle get release & the walker they get is release in plastic. I want to use that toward a conversion. So keep this model to one side for the time been.

Spent today pretty much getting this Knight painted as well

Then here the Iron Warriors for the Berserker unit.

So, there will be a member of the Black Legion who'll be base of Midnight runner own warband & then another World Eater who will carry the Banner.

Just been inspired by The Red Path novel, where it talk about Khârn warband & how it has Marines from different legions & chapter in the ranks. As well as White Dwarf 234? It had shown a World Eater force & one of the member is a Deathwing where the blood take over his armour slow corrupting him.

​So right now for this unit, there the Space Wolf - I see him slay his own Battle Brother or maybe he a Lone Wolf only to fall to Chaos? Then the Iron Warrior been base on my own grand company with me having a sort sub Khorne theme.

​Then as said there going be a Black Legion who going to be base on B&C Member Midnight Runner warband. Not quite sure what I will do for the second unit of Berserker. Part me wanting to theme a Marine or two on a Chapter that friends collect, I know my friend collect Space Wolves has made there view know.

​Might look into try model two member like these - From Warhammer World early 2000's.

It should hopeful be worth the wait. I'm just waiting for the Sister of Battle release for there walker. I did conversion using them along with Dreadnought when I collected Iron Hands. But there no way I'm going though that again with the current metal models. Also just with the FW IW Dreadnought been pretty rare & costing a lot on ebay.

Update - Sort off.

Back in May, my sony camera I use ended up no longer working & was beyond repair. This has been a camera I've use for vast majority of my photos since 2012 & always prefer take it to events.

Past while I've use another camera, it a good one. But for the best setting for the photos, it not able to upload on the gallery & during the DWARF event, shown if the light not that great - I wasn't happy with the photos I'd taken during the event.

​Anyway - Mange to get same make on ebay & it arrive today. Seem to be ok so far. So though take photos of units that where done recently.

Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company

Can't quite remember why I ended up getting Dreado Dreadnought, beside the model looking pretty cool. Might also be because my friend collect Space Wolves was using a few them quite a lot in there games against me.

Third Siege Dreadnought was also added. Since adding the first one back September last year. I've really enjoyed building & painting the Siege Dreadnought model. Later adding a second one. Now a Third one join the ranks, but with a soulburner arm.
​As always the trophy been base on people I game against. The Slannesh been base oN Syn warband, the Nid been base on Craig who I fought during DWARF Fire Storm back in June. Then the Imperial Fist that the back been donated by John who I fought during Rapid Fire last year.

Decimator - I added these models after watching Tabletop Tactic video, where they where discussion a Alpha Legion chaos list. They brought up Decimator & got me thinking about adding a few of these. The FW model is pretty cool. But I prefer the Iron Circle models & there more fitting for theme/narrative wise. Model them a bit different from the three Iron Circle models I already have. Was just case give them a bit of a bigger base & adding a IW Battle Brother carry the flamer for them. Seen the IW there to try stop the Daemonic inside these machine from going on a rampage if it needed.

Obliterators - It IW & we are well know for Obliterators. It been a while since I've added a new unit of Obliterators & with the release of 8th ed, it change the unit a bit. Losing the Power Fist & how the weapon work for them. So wanted to model them as such. Going with the Deathwatch Heavy Bolter & Frag cannons.

I like the idea of them deep strike down with my other squad of Obliterators, unit of Terminators & Lord Narach.

AutocannoN Terminator - Added just led up to Throne of Skulls April. Was just have something bit different in the unit. But also I've always like the Autocannon terminator look since starting the hobby with the 2nd ed codex Chaos release. The Terminators models have always stood out for me with the art work of the Champion in White Dwarf 202.

Trench unit - I've always wanted to add a Trench theme unit. A unit when Cultist & Slaves can not be rely upon & the work need to be perfect. As well as digging mine & mark out where place melta charge when trying take down section of fortification walls.

This unit may see a few more Battle Brother added. I'm still trying work out what I would like to take with me to Nottingham in September,

Trench squad Rhino - I always wanted to try convert up a Rhino with a servo type arm to it. In past nothing ever really work for me. But with the release of some new 40k terrain & the genestealer cult. It made it possible. I'm really happy how this has turn out. Trophy on this - Bloodletter skull been base on Bio World Eater warband, the Khorne been base on Midnight Runner Hound of Abaddon warband & the Slannesh again been base on Syn warband.

List of campaign that my Iron Warriors take part in in background & gaming wise.

Lascannon Havoc squad - I've had the MkIII models hang about for a while as I was planning on a Horus heresy force as a version of the 5th Grand Company before been all Chaos. But it never happen. MkIII kit been really cool, be shame let them not be use. So though try this out & maybe something might use more off in my Grand Company in the future.

​It also because out of the Havoc unit, I don't have any lascannon until they where added. I've got one unit with launcher, another with Heavy Bolter & then about three units with Autocannons.

Cultist - While I've got my Chaos guards who double as Chaos Guard & Cultist. I though might be best getting unit bit more different so it would not cause issue in some events. Also with the release of the Genestealer Cult, it allow bit more WYSIWYG with the Autoguns & Heavy Stubber. Also I've always wanted to use the Renegade upgrade kits. So though for this unit I would go for a bit large one. There just below the Chaos Guards in the chain of command type thing, there the once who are more often use as fodder. I like to think that when the FW planet my Chaos Guards where from, when the IW help them take it over - These are the militants who just have the most basic of training, bit more like the ganger from Necromunda if this make sense.

FW IW Dreadnought - Second one added to my IW force. This was one I got from ebay & mange sort out with a few parts & re-paint. Went with the Autocannon as Syn had one spare & donated the part. While the Launcher was one of the arm that arrive with the model when I got it from ebay. Gutted that Forge World don't sell the Dreadnought model any more, there among my favrioted & in a perfect worlds - I'd like to get a few for each Chaos force I collect in the future.

Then also though I'd try get photo of the World Eater again & try out White background. Just with the other camera those photos where not turn out so great & why I didn't use any paper. So aim buy some new 40k ruin for there base. I'm also thinking of getting a new Khârn model that will just be for this force.

Here the mini Knight as well. Transfer just got added today & aim get last part model painted tomorrow. Again the base is waiting on the new terrain.

Mange to get a bit work done to the Rhino for the Lascannon Havoc squad. So just add rivet & trophy, as well as build the IW crew member with the combi bolter.

For ETL I've still got my Lightingclaw Terminator Lord to model & get the second Bastion undercoated & start painting that. Just past while been really busy with the sitting room getting a lot work done & meant having to move everything out into the hallway. But thing are settle down & really want to try get more time toward the hobby.

​Apart from the base, the Mini Knight now finish. I will be getting a few more of them in the near future.

Just spent a bit time today getting this Rhino built.

The Blood Angels Lieutenant is going to be base on a game I had on Thursday there against my friends BA force. Pretty much, he had a Blood Angel Primaris commander in combat against Lord Varik - 5th Standard Bearer, for three round of combat the Chaos gods favour me as I passed ever single Inv save.

So this Rhino will be the transport for my Lascannon unit of Havocs.

Then another member for the Berserker for Warhammer World. Axe will be added on the backpack or other though having the axe in the ground when I build the base.

I'm sort of thinking building a lone Terminator for the event - game wise it will be a Lord. After re-looking that the 40k comic - Revelations, where there is a Lone World Eater. Just for the sort theme/narrative I'm wanting to go for this warband, along side with the narrative Warhammer World has set out for the event.

Loving the new rhino and its proper decora. Still envious you have that sweet, sweet brass etch chain! Something about the big launcher juts makes it the perfect vehicle for shuttling havocs around.

 

The new berzerker is also looking great! Interested in seeing more of him and I fully support seeing a Khornate Terminator Lord who has been leading this vicious band of warriors.

It a Havoc launcher for my Rhino.  The Launcher that in the current Chaos Rhino kit doesn't fit the look of how I want them for my Iron Warriors.

Here the Rhino for my Lascannon Havoc squad. Just need try find time tomorrow add a few transfer, then Friday get the weather powder added. Saturday just get last few bit detail painted.

The Primaris Blood Angel Lt. Hope a friend bring the one they've painted for there own force so I can have this been base upon there.

Also ended up painting a bit of the World Eater Icon bearer during today as well.

For the banner, I'm wanting this style of Khorne marking. So I just need try to get this printed off & scale for the banner. Then I'm going to mask the banner & have the Games Workshop white undercoated spray. Then it just case find letter & marking that would fit the World Eater & khorne narrative.

Quick update

Not really done to much with the weather been way to warm & how I general get effected with the heat/hot weather - led to headache & nose bleeds. So just chose to get bit weather powder added to the Rhino & this will get finish by tomorrow.

Khârn Mk2 - I already got a Plastic Khârn painted back when he was release two year ago. But just with the new World Eater & them been painted slight different. I though I would get another Khârn that would just be for them. So just go him yesterday. Khârn among one of my favorited specil character in the game. In fact just finish re-reading Khârn Eater of Worlds & current re-reading the Red Path.

​Added a few more skulls, trying to make sure there going to be 8, been Khorne favour number. I think there seven on the model right now & one more will get added to the base.

Then later in the afternoon when it started getting a bit cooler. Spent a bit of time getting the banner painted up today. So quickly make a template of a scale down Mark of Khorne & using the white undercoat. Then just painting around/tidy up where the spray sort of bleed though the masking.

Tomorrow I should have one of the new 40k ruin building & get there base sorted tomorrow.

Also forgot to add - Syn sculpted the trim part & MoK on the Primaris Marine for me. It arrive last week.

​It going to be converted up as a Herald for my Khorne Daemon force, base on the slaughter-master that was seen in Storm of Iron & then in Dead Sky Black Sun. Just help pretty much tie in why my IW & World Eater are battle along side each other & bring in the Daemons side of thing

Also can't belive it been five years to this day since this happen. When the 5th Grand Company where part of White Dwarf army of the month. Just how much has chance since then & how much this force has grown.

Another fantastic update! Everything is looking great! The rhino with its perfect trophy looks ready to hit the tabletop. Khârn mk2 is going to look awesome with your new World Eaters who look brilliant for blood-envisioned madmen using literally anything they can get their hands on now to gather more skulls and shed blood.

 

I am also really looking forward to the Primaris conversion. I am going to pick up that three pack tomorrow and try to convert them too. I had been fighting it for so long but after copy betrayer41 and making big berzerkers using bloodwarriors the flood gates have been opened.

 

And I love seeing that pic of your Iron Warriors in WD. You have a big, framed picture of that posted in your home, right?

ETL almost finish. With a few days left I've got a second Bastion to still get undercoated & painted. Then just built another Terminator Lord with Lighting claws. Just with 8th ed needing more HQ chose per detachment & I've never really use Lighting claws to be honesty. Not quite sure what his narrative will be to be honesty,

Then the base for the Berserker where built yesterday & painted during today. Aim to try get the Black Legion member of the unit built tomorrow & ready for painting along side Kh
