The Chaos Hellwright now ready for undercoating tomorrow. Want to try get some painting done before his first game during the week.

I was hoping my Forge World order would have arrive today. But just start to convert up my Lascannon Havoc unit, inspired by Table Top tactic. Also I've got a lot of the MkIII kits kept aside when the Heresy box game was release back 2016? I was planning on collecting a Heresy era version of my 5th Grand Company, so try build the character on what they would have been like before then. But sadly that never went forward & I've not really seen much Heresy gaming wise around here :(

So want to try start adding MkIII a bit more to my Iron Warriors & more so if we ever happen to get any brand new Chaos Marines kits release.

Then Death Guard I've shown a while back, finial getting there base finish.

I bought the Nurgle Marines w/Icon as I was orignaly planning on using the legs for my Hellwright conversion, but they where a bit to big for the SoH body I was planning on using.
So though get him painted & added to this squad of Plague Marines base on Max warband. End of the day the Nurgle Marines w/Icon just a really cool model & one of my favorited in the range. Only took two hour paint in all.

I've taken some squad by squad photos of my Nurgle warband. So like my Iron Warriors in a few post. Going try add my Nurgle. I'm still trying to come up with a theme, background & names for my units & Champion. Like wise I'd like to try get a few more games with them. Just my main aim was to see my Iron Warriors get there 1000th game that round 5 of April Throne of Skulls that Warhammer World.

Dragonlover - How many of the coins did you get? I just think it a bit cooler using them for command point. I know few friends start getting them as well when they've recently been to Warhammer World.

Update

First all, not quite sure why the first two photos been like this when click medium.

But here the Warpsmith. Spent Wednesday painting the model, though I'm nearly that the end of been really busy. There a event happen on Saturday, so once that been & gone. I'm back to normal & got lot of models waiting.

Also with my internet that home been down for the past few days. It meant spend that time building my Havocs & getting bit painting done on Wednesday, when waiting on say like shade dry on the Warpsmith model.

My Decimator. There still a lot more to add, I'm just waiting on a few parts to arrive for the conversion

So once it the afternoon tomorrow, I'm on a short holiday/taken time off until Tuesday. From Sunday to Tuesday pretty much all about building my own models. So try get the Decimator conversion done. Got a Siege Dreadnought waiting & also finish those Bastion conversion.

Also try get the last two member of the Havoc squad converted up.

Update

So during the past month I've been really busy, with a local wargaming show on today & getting stuff ready for the bring & buy. But while search though boxies, mange to re-find a few models I though I may loss.

Predator from my 2005 era of Iron Warriors & first time trying to convert up the crucified trophy. The Predator later going on to take part in Conflict Scotland & remember this been posted on the forum back then by a member who use to be staff

Even though your army wasn't picked for the painting, it was top 3 and all the judges really really liked it (Graeme McNeill highly amused by the spreadeagle ultramile on your vehicle).

Also - I've said in the past, how Bronn Tal & his unit have pretty much been there since day one of collecting the Iron Warriors. Here the two version of him from the Mk1 in 2001 & Mk2 era when codex 3.5 was near it release of my Iron Warriors. Seem each era I've kept the bionic.

Also seem to found this titan I got back in 2008, when I was thinking getting into epic & create my IW for this. Just with today announcement on the new Titan game, I will be getting that box game & will converting up the Titan rep my Iron Warriors in that scale... now to find hellcannons parts...

Though take a new photo of the Warpsmith as last update saw them going off no matter what I selected.

Then yesterday, after getting all stuff needed for today event. I ended up spending a hour painting my Lascannon havocs, which was really needed. So the other two models for the squad should get built later on tomorrow & get painted during the week.

Also been inspired by this art work from the Horus Heresy

My Decimator. I forgot to pick up the base from my local store, so I need to wait until mid week to get them. But I'm going to try adding helbrute parts to try make these a bit more daemonic type, like my Siege Knight.

Spent a bit time today working out the two Bastion & sorting out the guns on the top. So that them all sorted. Now to add trophy & banner. As well as make plasticard door for the mid-area of the Bastion with ether a chaos star or Iron Warrior icon. That pretty much what tomorrow going to be about.

While clear out I also found a Heldrake I'd put to one side a few year ago. So I think this will also be a future ETL vow, it was been built with the Autocannon option just give me chose & it does look pretty cool.

Then one of the main Forge World order arrive during the week. My third Siege Dreadnought, so since got the next three days off. Wanting to try keep Tuesday to one side for this.

Also was ask recently about the amount models I have in my Iron Warriors + allies force, so those interested you can see here. Some are models yet to be built - There part mY ETL vow. I might try get a photo on Monday of the whole lot

Small update

Forgot to add this yesterday. Warhammer Fest announce the new Titan game, which I am really looking forward to. There no need to guess that I am already planning few conversion idea to make them into Chaos titan's. Now... if only I can find a mini hellcannon & skaven parts. Pretty much I wouldn't mind converting the Knights to look like my current once in my Iron Warriors force.

But think this will be pretty cool, as well as having my fleet for Battlefleet gothic.

Here how day one of my three days off been going.

Mange to get the two Lascannon Havocs built today. They should get base tomorrow & ready for painting during the week.

Also getting to the Bastions. Tomorrow aim, to try get trophy added here & there. Then it just add green stuff later in the week as I also forgotten to pick up a brand new pack while I was that my local store yesterday.

But once that done, both Bastion are been kept to one side as part of my new ETL vow.

Then the Warpsmith "almost" there. Going varnish tomorrow & try spare a hour later on in the day get him painted.

With day two off tomorrow. Part of it to see if I'm able to get a whole army photo as it turn out I maybe over 700 models in this collection. Then later on, it going to get the Siege Dreadnought clean & start building him.

Here it is... 700 models, around 5% still be painted - shown this is still a work in progress/on going project

So...ehh... My Iron Warriors don't have 400 models, they have 700 with my Black Crusade theme in effect

5% of the models are unpainted, this show it a still on going project.

Great updates! The new warpsmith is phenomenal! I also love the extra work you put into those fortresses. The plasticard icon adds a fantastic touch. That is also a mighty Black Crusade force you've accumulated as well.

Quick update

Just a bit of a re-cap. After taken Sunday to today off, with the aim off getting my own models built & general getting some hobby done.

During the past few days I've been spent bit spare time here & there painting the Hellwright. He almost there, just need to get small bit yellow mix with medium added to the green flames. I went with the green flames to go along side other flames I've painted & also the black flames I try painting was getting loss. Then just add bit soot weather powder here & there onto the model really add to the whole narrative & theme of the Warpsmith.

Then getting the last two Lascannon Havocs ready for painting tomorrow (Wed usely my day off/time keep aside for painting). They where both built on Sunday.

How they look along side the fellow Battle Brother.

Both these models, along with the Champion where painted a little bit during last week & then Friday when I had a hour spare/need my own time after been busy getting a lot of stuff ready for a local wargame show bring & buy.

Then spend bit more time painting them on the Sunday.

Transfer been added a hour or so again.

While today was spent getting the Siege Dreadnought built. I'm just working out what I want to try get done for the base, before the Dreadnought fully built. Like the other two Siege Dreadnought, he will get a Iron Warrior who will carry a Melta. Part this is to look cool & other part to remind me that he has a Melta gun.

Then some point during last week I mange to quickly get the two Decimator conversion built. But I forgot to pick up the 80mm base I order on Saturday. So pick them up tomorrow & just work out how I want to base them. They will also have Iron Warriors who will carry Heavy Flamers.

Then Saturday after return from the local wargame event. I spent what ever spare time I had getting my Bastion built. Just I needed to try get the Vengeful batteries to fit onto the tower.

So all that sorted. All I need to do now try get filler & also to add trophy. I will keep the bastion for my second vow for ETL.

Then as shown in yesterday post. Finial getting around to setting up all my Chaos Marines to see how it all looking & where I want to go. So things like adding few more Raptors to my current squad.

So next - Just got email say my Forge World order now dispatch.

I've also got a local event in a few week time. I've made my list, which needed to be email this Saturday. I'm also aim taken a lot of Forge World base units, since there no cap or limit. End of the day I go to events just get a single day/weekend of gaming.

Quick update

So, it seem my old army log back. A few days ago, photobucket had announce that they have new management & they'd lifted off the block from all accounts. Anyone who interested, you can find my old army log link on page 1 & re-link it here

This just arrive early today & got built a few hour ago. I've removed the hip area & replace it with a spare one from the Contemptor Dreadnought, just help give it a bit more high.

I still need to try sort out the Autocannon, they where pretty badly warp. Then it to add a few trophy, which maybe added around the waist area of the model.

Then my Havocs, they will be complete painted during tomorrow.

Update

Spent today getting the Lascannon Havoc unit finish. Really happy how they've turn out & just give me a idea on the MkIII models. I was going to keep them aside for a Horus Heresy era version of my Iron Warriors. But I don't know anyone who really play it. Just shame have 50+ of these models sitting there. So something see in the future, who know maybe another warband as I do have a second Warsmith base on my friend RPG.

Raptor helmet base on Syn Slannesh warband. Found the part while clear out boxies for the wargaming show last week for the bring & buy.

The anti-air Dreadnought will get a bit painting done this week. It just Wednesday, set aside for painting - I'm going to see Machine head, so I'm only going have two hour painting time.

Decimators. So just got the base done a few moment ago & getting the Iron Warriors model to carry the Flamer as I'm like the idea from my Siege Dreadnought & again just remind me during games.

So they might get some painting done on Saturday next week along with the Anti Air Dreadnought.

Also brought my Death Guard models, just get them all fully painted.

I've just started using them in a game on Thursday there, with another planned during the week. I really need to get around & convert up a Nurgle Lord for this force. Think have two converted, one Terminator base & one power armour as second in command type thing.

Update

This week been back to been really busy that the moment. With aim get a Thousand Son's force complete painted for a friend by Sunday & needing to get a unit of Terminators Custodian painted for another friends to take to a local event next weekend.
On top that, only got a hour & a half of painting time on Wednesday, with me later seen Machine Head.

Also the release of Space Hulk Deathwing, I've been looking forward to this game for the past year & a half now & it not disappointed me.

Also though show the Thousand Sons force I've been painting since last year.

Here the two Decimators I started paint a bit on Wednesday before going to see Machine head & spent a bit time painting the gold today.

The Anti Air Dreadnought, I also painted a bit on Wednesday, with tomorrow been spent try get the model finish. I'm not quite sure if I will paint yellow/black stripe on the bottom part of the Dreadnought torso. Going to wait until get bit more paint done to the model.

Then five of the 30 Cultist I'm needing for my ETL vow. While I've got Chaos Guards that double as Cultist. I've try to avoid using Cultist, as it mainly been down to really dislike those list there the only Chaos Marines is the HQ chose.
It just, with the recent FAQ updated, it allowed Chosen to take Bolter, Bolt Pistol & Close Combat (Chainsword) which a lot of my Iron Warriors are model with. With a few changes to my list, allow me to upgrade those unit to Chosen in future games.

The Cultist are going to be theme as more, not Chaos Guard standard. Just level below them, sort of gang level from Necromunda who've join the rank. So there not as well trained, but know how to that least fire a atuogun.

Also because I've always like this, from the PS3 Space Marine game.

Hoping by next weekend, thing settle down a bit. Right now I just need to get box Cadian & Autogun from the Genestealer Cult to get my Cultist unit complete. Then it just the unit of Obliterators left for my vow. So they should hopeful start next weekend as well.

Then I've got my two Bastion & a Helbrute set aside for my second ETL vow.

Great stuff here, I really liked how the cultists looked in space marine too and I can't wait to see your take on them. Also have fun at Machinehead, I have seen them twice now they put on a good show!

Dam psycho, smashing it as always. The TS look epic! Loving the blue, everything there is very nicely done.

The decimator and dread are coming along nicely. Look forward to seeing them complete

The cultists are looking very iron warrior-esk, they look like there straight from a forgeworld the IW have recently conquered ;)

Wow, the Thousand Sons look great, the hues in the blue are very nice. I agree with that being some great concept art for cultists and I feel you've captured it well.

Just saw Warhammer World adding onto the narrative from The Boralis Schism campaign weekend that I attend to last year & will be taken part in the September story arc this year.
Just it cool to see & something that going to get added to the background section to my army list I take to events.

Here the two Decimator. I only got about a hour & a half to paint them last week before I went to see Machine Head. Then I've only had a further hour yesterday & today. Really surprise that the stage they've gotten to. There still a bit more painting to go. But right now there ready to quickly get varnish after already apply the transfer early today. Wednesday going to see them fully painted, along side the Cultist.

The Dreado Dreadnought almost there. Going call him complete for ETL reason, but there still bit more that will get done before a local event I've got this weekend.

Half of one of my Cultist unit base & ready for spray tomorrow. I'm going to pick up another box of Cadian during the week, then it just try find the Genestealer Cult Auto guns from any bits site.

Also mange to get a bit spare time today get some near finial part added to my Bastion. Pretty much it been adding the trophy. I've possible got Friday to Monday off, so going to try get filler sort out gaps on the model so it ready for painting & part of my second vow for the ETL.

Then another Terminator HQ chose who me fight along side Lord Narach. It just give me option gaming wise if I go for my all Terminator force. I think model wise, I'm not quite sure. I was ether going to have the new Terminator HQ arm with a pair of Lighting Claws. Or the other option was Chainfist & Combi Melta since we no longer need to worry about strike last.

Then, that me completed Space Hulk for the PS4 & gone on to the extra mission. Find it really cool been able custom character. Just I'm thinking possible converting this for display/one off model to be honesty.

Update

Just pick this lot up two day ago to start my next unit of ten Cultist. Hopeful going pick up the third lot next weekend.

Then here the first unit. Half of the unit where done for Shadow Wars & the other half for my ETL vow. For ETL I'm going to add a few Necromunda Goliath models & got a few other FW Renegade I'm going pick up.

So I've got Sunday off. I'm going to get those Bastion all finish & build the unit Cultist shown above & my Siege Dreadnought. I think right now ETL vow wise I've just got the Obliterators to buy.

Quick update

I took part in DWARF Fire Storm event yesterday. Had three good games, got vote for my army & most of all trolling people I know :D But it was way to warm weather wise.

Had to use my other camera due to issue with the one I'd normal use. The light that the hall not to great & I've had to change the setting so they can load in the forum gallery.

Game against Craig Nids, I fought them because two year ago.

Then Andy Black Legion.

Then taken today off. Kept a few hour aside to get some models built.

Siege Dreadnought getting there. I just need a Nid trophy & a loin cloth, as well as model the Iron Warrior with melta for the base.

15 Cultist, five of them are part of the other unit I've already done led up to Fire Storm. Just bring them to ten models for ETL reason. I'm not all to sure on the Orlock arm's with the autogun. They seem a bit out of scale, maybe it also because I don't have the shoulder pads that not helping. But right now I might get them replace with the Genestealer Cult autogun already seen on my other models & in the photo as they look a lot cooler.

I've also use a few Golith. One acting as Champion & the other with Heavy Stubber. Just I remember in Storm of Iron it talk about a Renegade Guard holding section of the walls.

I got this Dreadnought last year. It was mainly to use the head for ether a Siege or Contemptor Dreadnought I built last year. I got spare IW FW Dreadnought head & also Syn drop off a Autocannon arm that the Fire Storm event yesterday. Again I just need to get a loin cloth & then some trophy. Then get this model painted as part of my second ETL vow.

Think theme going be a battle brother from my Autocannon Havoc unit I've been using a lot in event since last year.

Also that the Fire Storm event, got given these two models. The Imperial Fist is from my friend & oppent John, mange to get our first game that Rapid Fire last year. Since then they've said about having a space Imperial Fist model they where going to donate as a trophy. They've forgotten each future event to bring the model & it was the same yesterday. But John didn't mind spare the model shown here. So I am thinking adding him to the Siege Dreadnought. Going replace the arm.

Then the Nid from the game against Craig, painted by Syn. This has happen, since a few people find out about the Trophy & why I add them. I'm now getting spare model donated to ether use toward a model or for reference the paint scheme.

Then game against John, where the Exalted Champion made this charge slay many Imperial Fist before falling.

Then though take the photo of the Warpsmith with the Iron Circle Decimator while I had them there.

Also spare a bit time this moring adding filler to the Bastion. There pretty much there & again will be part of my second ETL vow.
