Mange to get a spare bit time today & though finial get the World Eater Terminator lord built. He been put one side for past few weeks as I was not all to keen on other part I use on the conversion. So took off those part today, search a few boxes & found what seen here - better & cooler parts. Using the Will of Iron comic as the idea behind this & fit with the aesthetic of my World Eater force.

As before, trophy are base on Ultramarine (Warhammer World display), Orks (event going to) & my Iron Warriors (event going to). Was originally going to have only 8 skulls on this model, but ended up forgetting I'd already removed a few parts from the Forge World model, so there about 12 there.

I've really like how the power axe turn out after using the axe from both Space Wolves Terminators & the AoS Wrathmonger set.

Return to a project

A while back I was going to start a Thousand Son's force. This was due to, I think last year. I'd just finish painting a Terminator force for a friend. Then near end of last year & during bit of this year I'd painted another force for another friend.

It about time I get this unit complete & have a think about going forward with this warband. Long term plan to try get the 9 Legions & a few warbands.

I'm using the Games Workshop base for these models now.

Something a bit different - So one of my aim's has always been, to try get a gaming table that home. Just simple try get more than one game per week which I've current had since 2007? Use to be around 15 games per week, back in college days & going to Games Workshop Glasgow.

I find the Terrain is just as important as the models & armies we use in our own collection. For me this is among the important aspect for games I've enjoyed. So with that, I've been looking out for some of the terrain I've made for past Armies on Parade board. With aims to create some new terrain in the near future which I'm more than like going add to this log.

Also found these classic bit terrain in a box.

With Space Wolves now been added to this log. The Primaris Wolf Guard ready for spray tomorrow. Shoulder pad will get added once the upgrade spure are release.

Find a few spare Wolf part to try convert the Primaris a bit.

Also had a little bit of time yesterday which was spent painting away the Vindicator.

Due to the FW Wolf transfer not show up on the black, it meant painting over them & highlighting them.

As said, with Space Wolves been added to this log. I though bring these photos up. They where taken by the Games Workshop What new today blog back in 2012, when my local store (back when store could) ran a trip to Warhammer World let people see the greatness place for the hobby.

There photos where taken & where feature on the blog, along with a bit detail I'd email them on the narrative & painting scehem.

The Rune Priest was base upon Stormcaller (Power armour era) art work & description in the Ragnar novels on the 13th Company Rune Priest.

Before Allies where a thing. I wanted to add Legion of the Damned as I've always like the background & like the models Games Workshop just release that the time.

Aim on getting a unit by unit photos of the Wolves & a bit of detail on them. Like I'd done for the Iron Warriors early in this log.

I am liking your Termi Lord - the axe especially - he looks very imposing. Also, you cannot go wrong with Zhufors legs, they add a good deal of size and bulk to a Lord. Looking forward to seeing paint on him (and his Juggerfwend!)

The Thousand Sons going onto there new base

My gaming club moving & with that, tomorrow the last day in the current hall. My last game in the current hall is against Blood Angels, which I'm aim on getting some photos. So though I would get the Lascannon Havoc unit there first game, it mostly because of the Blood Angel trophy which has annoyed my oppent so far. They also want to see what Decimator are like as there currently add some to there Daemonkin force.

• Nuln oil shade
• Typhus corrosion mix with medium
• While the Typhus corrosion still wet, stipple ryza rust
• Stipple ryza rust
• Use foam/sponge with runefang steel

Nice. I think I will be using that for those pre made GW bases myself! I wanted to have a martian esque base with rust and that looks awesome!

Update

Just spent today getting the Juggernaut Lord painted. So he just get varnish & last part detail painted.

Then the Terminator Lord as well. Just shame Ork skull that was on the shield broken off. So I need to try get a new trophy painted up now.

I've been looking that my World Eater force right now & some units will be aim for Call of Chaos later on this year. So far I'm looking to add
Unit mark** are highly going toward my Call of Chaos vows.

• Third unit of Khorne Berserker** + Rhino
• 3x Maulerfiend**
• Decimator
• Few Heresy World Eater Contemptor Dreadnoughts**
• Blood Slaughter, the Daemonic Khorne walker
• Siege Dreadnought
• Khorne Bikers

Then maybe a Kytan.

Like wise, getting the Primaris Wolf Guard painted. Again just need to get varnish & also get one of the new moulded shoulder pads.

Then just a hour ago, painting the base for the Thousand Son's as well as painting the loin cloths.

Then bought this lot today.

Oh man, if you do a Kytan that's gonna look the nuts! I love that you're going for all nine Legions as well, I've found it really lets me stretch my legs a bit hobby wise.

 

I'm trying to work out what to actually comment on, and I can't pick because it all looks awesome! The curse of being a perennial lurker!

Mange to spare a bit of time today to get the Juggernaut Lord, Terminator & Wolf Guard varnish. Then just getting last parts painted like Blood for the Blood god or adding gloss varnish & water effect.

This is sort of... planning for the future. As said one force I'd like to return to is the Black Legion, my second Warhammer 40k army back 1996 & my first Chaos force.

Also got the second (first half) squad of Berserker built as well. So it mainly the fallen member, from Fallen Angel, Red Scorpion & Night Lord.

Then the Wolf Guard Battle Leader, he just need one of the new shoulder pads. It not going to be until maybe November until I really start the Primaris element to my Space Wolves & Christmas holidays, but good to get a idea where I want to go with this project.

Here how the first half of the second unit of Khorne Berserker are looking. Should have them all fully painted by the weekend.

The Red Scorpion member base upon my friend Red Scorpion army, who move to the USA back 2014. I'd like to think during the 7000pt game we had before he move. That one of the battle brother had fallen during then, leaving his company & join this World Eater Warband. Rest of the squad will be World Eater battle brother.

Then due to waiting on parts to arrive for the rest of the World eater unit & part build up Iron Warriors for Nottingham in a month time. I sort need something paint next week & though I'd make a start on the Primaris element to my Space Wolves. Aim on getting some unit by unit photos of the Wolves & bit detail about them in the next few updates.

My week off started, but gutted I'm ill. Just some people have the disgusting habit of cough onto other with out thinking, when you walk past other people in town or on the train.

Here how the first half of the second unit of Khorne Berserker are looking. I've already sent a photo of the Red Scorpion member of this squad to my friend who move to the USA, needless to say vows hunting down this model have been said next time we get a game.

I just need to get a few more of the current MkVII tactical marines legs for the rest of the squad & for the Exalted Champion.

Also been thinking of just getting this Dreadnought painted. I was going to wait until the Sister of Battle release, for the walker they get in there army list. But I general hate waiting.

Also I like the FW era IW Dreadnought. I've got a few servo arm's kept aside & I might try get some of the drill parts from the Nurgle models from the Rough Trader kill team set.

Then this week I'm going get the Primaris Hellblaster painted. Since this photo was taken, I've add a few parts to try help make them stand out a bit as Space Wolves.

Update

Still been a bit unwell. I chose to spend yesterday that home & try get some hobby done. Mange to get the two mini Knight built & now just plan convert them up be all Chaos.
Just work out what part will fit onto the models & also keep in mind that the models will not break when carry them.

Also today my birthday. A few friends ether give me gift voucher or bought these which I never expected.

Spend yesterday also building more Iron Warriors for the Trench theme unit that where added back in April. These models will also double as my Kill team. Gone for another Hologram. While I've done the conversion a few times already, I've not really done one for any units. It more marker or crew for tanks. So went with this as it was the last Epic Chaos Terminator I had left.

Also got this out of print FW World Eater Dreadnought, with my mum bought on ebay. This will be added to my World Eater force & planned for it to get painted next week.

Spent today painting the Wolves Hellblaster. Still get battle damage painted on & add transfer.
