I'll have to check out that instagram when I get a minute. I've only seen one black legionnaire someone converted up that got me interested so the more resources for inspiration are always welcome! I did start turning one easy build primaris into a heavy bolter gunner for my kill team to dip my toes in the water...and I feel guilty about how much I like it. :)

 

New terminator lord is looking awesome. For background, maybe he was a leader who led or repelled boarding actions and liked claws to hack foes in close quarters? I was rereading Black Legion and liked a part about a character using a sword in the close confines of a ship corridor. Less room to swing and put force behind each cut so maybe lightning claws would have an advantage?

The finished berserkers looks cracking, the blood spray across the icon is a nice touch.

 

I also can't believe it was five years since your force appeared in White Dwarf, I remember it being a massive source of inspiration to me, as I was just beginning to properly start the hobby. It was certainly one of the things that led me to starting a chaos force in 40k as it showed that with effort and time, one could create a very distinct and impressive force from those basic chaos kits.

Quick update

Here how the second Terminator Lord looking. Just need to add transfer & tuft grass. I think I sort want the model vibe to be like the Mountain from Game of Thrones. Or Golg from the Horus Heresy era.

Here how the second Khârn looking so far & should be fully painted by the weekend.

What other Khârn models look like. I've though about maybe converting the FW version along side with the plastic one. One main thing would be the leg armour plates. It might happen in the future.

For the second squad I think one fallen member will be a Night Lord, another a Novamarine after wind up a friend today over there army that my local store. Then I'd like to maybe have one more fallen Marine but unsure if he will be Legion or Chapter.

Pick this lot up today as well. Terrain going to be toward my Armies on Parade board & for my future gaming table if all goes to plan. I feel terrain just as important to the game as the models we collect.

I've also been thinking a bit about the second Warsmith I converted last year. It was base on a character a few friend created for there Deathwatch RPG game. I've still got a lot of MkIII models which where orignaly planned for a Heresy era force of my IW's. But that not happen & to be honesty I can't see me going back to 7th ed as I prefer 8th ed rule & the waac type player ruin 7th for me with there deathstar & Warp-spider spam list.

But think I might model a few units to be part of his Warband & try make them a bit different from the 5th Grand Company. It just in planning stage that the moment. It just from re-reading the Will of Iron comic series.

Quick update

That the Terminator lord now complete. Just with the way 8th ed is with detachment, I want to have a few more HQ chose. Using one of the new AoS undead model to act as a Dark Mechanicus trophy.

Also spent time during today painting up the second plastic Khârn model.

As well as painting the Black Legion member of the World Eater. I might replace the helmet ether waiting until brand new Chaos model get release (hoping) or maybe using MkIV. Going have a look for different idea.

Just wanted to see the model along side the other member of the squad.

Then getting the Rhino built. Trophy wise, it going to be

- Ultramarines. As said in the log, my aim when ever I'd start a World Eater force was to base them upon the Warhammer World display - Angelus Prime. This had the force of Daemonkin against the Ultramarine, it one of the largest diorama that Warhammer World have made & it the one I spend my time seen the most while I'm that Warhammer World.

So my warband meant to taken part & are pretty much under strength, having to rely upon Daemons to make up the number.
​Also the skulls will rep the Imperial & people of the city during this battle.

- Orks, base on the campaign event I'm using them for.

- The MkIII going to be base upon my own Iron Warriors. During the event, there as much a chance of the extra unit (option) going for our own stuff as much as our oppent.

I'm still working out what I'd like to do with the Combi Bolter hatch. It like my IW, have someone deal with the Combi Bolter or just have the hatch shut.

From the Warhammer World Angelus Prime display. So like the Rhino below. I will also make a stamp from spunge that will be printed onto my Rhinos. I've already done this in past update with other Daemonkin type units. Like the Icon I painted recently, the Icon will be base upon the Age of Sigmar dice shaker icon. So for my Rhino it will be on the top hatch (like photo below) & I'm going add one to the side & why the door not been glue on yet (photos above).

I need to try get a T face berserker helmet for the second squad. One idea to have the MoK painted onto the faceplate as well. Again photo from the display from Warhammer World

​Quick update

Spent a bit time just getting the Rhino ready for undercoat. Chose to add crew member in the end, instead of having the hatch close. Using part from the AoS Khorne models & allow me add few more trophy - So there 16 trophy in all, which led to 8. I've still add a few blade marks to the hull of the Rhino try show there battle against the Orks, have it really scared

Also got the Khorne stamp sorted

It will look like this, so one will be for the hatch & the other for one of the doors. Help add that weather/damage look

Also found two out of three World Eater FW Dreadnought. I got them back 2007 as part of my Black Legion force when codex Chaos was release near the end 4th ed. I'm really hoping to find the third. I'm aim on re-painting them for my World Eater. I've been advice it maybe not best paint strip them with out damage to the resin. So I might need to cut away the World Eater icon & replace it with the Mark of Khorne & maybe try cut a stamp as the World Eater Icon?

But right now it mainly try find the third one & there most like going to be my Call of Chaos vows later on this year.

He a Black Legion who saw the "true" reality of Khorne over Abaddaon false promise ;)   I'm going to replace the helmet with one form the Chaos Marine box set, I've seen you use one on the biker.  Just way I think that would look & would allow me add the Chaos icon around the face plate as well as cut away.  If I can get it paint, should have it poste up tomorrow let everyone see the replacement.

 

With the cut - Just scalpel blade & been very careful.  It just with the bit of background the Warhammer World event team written up for the event I'm attending.  It just help further add to that story & narrative they've set.  All the World Eater have scare all over the armour & try to use a few Ironjaw Ork part to cover part of broken armour as well.

 

Also don't worry about double CCW for the Helbrute...  The third one got that cover.

It just the planet part of the Icon has gloss varnish on it & will be a nightmare to re-paint over.  So will remove it & it will allow me to do a cool print using sponge with one side having the World Eater Icon & other side been Mark of Khorne.

 

On that note I'm now making the chose to get a 2000pt World Eater force planned & aim for Call of Chaos.  Allow me to have another army sorted before the end of this year :D

Quick update

Just painted up a new helmet for the Black Legion member of the squad. Just though go with this one & still fit with Midnight Runner own Black Legion warband, with a few of his Biker using this helmet.

​So this battle brother saw the true light of Khorne & join this warband, along with other who treaded down the path of Khorne with the Space Wolf & Iron Warrior. There more in the near future from a Red Scorpion, a Fallen Angel & Night Lord among the list.

Then here there Rhino transport. So just got this painted today, just need to quickly add transfer, varnish & then weather powder.

Though see the Rhino next to my Iron Warriors version.

As said before - My World Eater Warband is inspired by the Warhammer World display, which see Daemonkin vs Ultramarines. I want my warband to fought in this battle, why you see the Ultramarine trophy & element from the display been taken on into my warband, like the Khorne stamp for the Rhino.

Then as said the campaign event I'm going to, I'm going to let that & the games further add onto the store.

I'm aim on getting a small World Eater force together. I think for the 2000pts list, I've just sort my helbrute out, a third unit of Berserker with Rhino & I need a few Maulerfiend. There will be more added to this, it just case of waiting on new Khorne Berserker to be release.
​But aim for those units to be built & painted during Call of Chaos.

Quick update

So just quickly change the part on the Black Legion member rep Midnight own Black Legion warband.

Then here the Rhino. Few part tidy up but that will get done during my week off. Really happy how the model turn out, as said it been inspired by the Warhammer World Bloodoath display, the World Eater warband I'm collect all inspired by that & the event I'm going to.

Then pick this lot up today. Along with a few bits order, it to get the second squad built. Then during my week off in September I'm aim on building the HQ for my World Eater

The HQ chose been base upon the Bloodquest comic

Also found Fallen Angels models I started painting last year. Though get bit more work done today & aim get them varnish tomorrow. I still have plans to collect a Fallen Angels warband. Just not sure if I should wait & see with the way the background going or just go forward.

Also planning on what to add next. So few them going be

- Mini Knights. After getting the Autocannon version, I want a few combat version. I like the idea of them support my Siege Knight. I've got a few conversion idea in mind. Something I'm aim on starting during the week off that the start of September.

- New Battle Brother for the first Siege Breacher unit. This is mainly replace the Bolter arm models with model arm with Chainsword. It only two of them as they where built back when Chaos Marines could take Bolter, Bolt Pistol & CCW.

- Adding more models to the Trench theme unit I built early in the year along with the Rhino w/servo arm. I'm also going aim for these new models act as part of my Kill team, so aim try make them stand out a littlie bit more

- I'm going to go back & just add a few thing current models. So my Predators are going to get marking added to the turrets for example. While the T face Berserker helmets will have IV legion icon added to them. It good going back to add some stuff or re-paint parts.

Quick update

Just got the second Khorne Rhino built yesterday & sprayed today. So this will get painted tomorrow.

Once again the trophy been

- Ultramarines, fitting in with the Warhammer World display

- Orks for the event I'm attending next month

- Iron Warriors, with the event & how the Khorne element will work & building up there narrative.

Just really like the World Eater upgrade kits from Forge World, for both Power Armour & Rhino upgrade.

Then along side the first Rhino

Just recently codex Space Wolves was announce been up for advance order this weekend. I've been meaning to go back to collect my Space Wolves. I try a few time but one thing or another gotten in the way.

But going go forward with this, with a Primaris element in the blue grey tone, while standard Space Marines will still be in there dark grey colour. Thing is, do I add my Space Wolves to this log? I did a stand alone log for them before, but it didn't get updated as often as I'd like to & then the issue with photobucket kick in last year. I might end up doing this to make it easier?

Anyway using the 30th anniversary Primaris as a Wolf Guard. Just waiting for the upgrade spure release.

Your Chaos Rhinos look great, but why do the Symbols of Khorne look so rough? Do the vehicles organically grow the symbols, like feathers that replace the down a chick was born with, as the Daemons possessing the Rhinos gain strength?

It following on from the Warhammer World Daemonkin force from the Bloodoath display.

So use a sponge to stamp the icon. It help not needing to stipple Mephiston red onto the icon since all the shade been done before this & just show it wearing away from battle. Just with this display been one of the many reason get me starting World Eater :D

But for the Khorne Icon I wanted to use one from the Age of Sigmar dice shaker due to prefer it a bit more

Update

Warhammer Fest in Germany been happing today & this model was preview. Needless to say he will get added to the 5th Company. I was planning on converting up a Iron Warrior like this for the Trench squad/Killteam.

Just need a release date for this model. But plan wise, he will become a Chaos Lord to give me more option for detachment & I like the idea of this model leading my unit of Havocs & artillery of the IVth Legion.

Here the second Khorne Rhino. Just need one more layer of weather powder & the XIIth legion transfer on the side. I'm just waiting on a few part to arrive so I can finial start building the second squad to go along side this.

Find Juggernaut parts & with nothing really planned for painting for this week. I though get Lord on Juggernaut converted. Just when collect armies, there set thing I think they need, so like Blood Angels always need Death Company in my view, if I ever collect them I'd add them no matter how they are gaming/rule wise/if there top or not in event. As always it just having cool models & what fit the narrative for me.

I'm going to re-model the chain near the power fist.

Also there 8 Trophy.

The Bloodletter helmet from the Wrathmonger set & I've kept this part to one side for a while. The jaws from the Lizermen kit as seen with my Iron Warriors, I like the idea that it ether from a Nid or Ork.

I'm going to make this Chaos Marine into a Black Legion member.

Then the Space Wolves Primaris Wolf Guard, who will also get painted this week. I think I will add Space Wolves to this army log as well.
I did have a Wolves log a while back, but it didn't get updated as often as I'd like & then when the issue with photobucket happen last year, it put a end to that topic.

++Space Wolves - Morkai Strike force++

Just like the first post. Though get a quick intro for the Space Wolves.

I've sort of collected a few Space Wolves armies in the past. With the 13th Company during the originally 13th Black Crusade, I've still got the metal Wulfen models. Then later on about 2009? Where I collected a small Space Wolves force in 5th ed.

Part of this was due to George Dellpina Space Wolves army that was in the 4th ed Rule book. There one of the most convertible chapter out there, which is important to me. Also each Space Wolves a hero in there own right, boosting a bit more about there sage - which again is important to me for narrative & it because of those great games that help build up there story like any other models for any other armies I collect. Reading the Ragnar omnibus to Chris Wright Wolves novels.

While gaming wise, Tank heavy list & Combat general what I go for.

But wasn't really until 2010, when the 5th ed codex Space Wolves where release & spending around
