It's not about painting wolves, but battle damage. Still, could be a good omen. Or maybe I'm clutching at straws! this was spotted, I think its a tease at the end of the white dward thats primaris in preherest wolf colorings Those colours look blue to me, not grey. Primaris marines sent to help clear the fenris system from demons. The first image is 100% titanicus. However in AoP it says all the companies are out, considering that is Ragnar's Company and not wolf spear or 30k symbol, they are probably forward deployed. Maybe Armageddon? Wishful thinking. Many people assume that the long delay for our codex is because we will be getting new models whereas the DAs just got the usual Primaris upgrade sprue. As for Russ, there are 2 traitor Primarchs now so many people have assumed there would be another loyalist Primarch to maintain the balance (and since we haven't had Johnson and Sangy is 50 shades of dead, Russ is the next logical candidate). I would love new models, but the pesemist in me says we have a new-ish range of models (with a few exceptions) and with the exceptions of an upgrade sprue for primaris, and maybe if we are lucky an expanded range to our helfrost weapons, we don't need much. Ratherdashing Posted July 6, 2018 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Money is limited and I already have more models than I could ever field, meaning that any new purchase is another model I love going back on the shelf. So new models mean very little to me. Russ returning would be cool for story even though I'm never going to have the small fortune he would cost. New versions of old models would be nice for other people and I won't begrudge anyone that wish. But what our codex needs is a *buff*. It'll be unfair for us to get one and SM, BA, GK, and DA to stay Index 2.0, but it's already unfair because the other codexes are leagues ahead. So what I really *don't* want to see is a buff in the form of new models, because those of us who want to keep using our collection will be no better off than we are now. Points or stats changes would be nice, but this is all just patches that could have been done long ago. With those kind of delay, we need creativity. We need useful stratagems. We need a Chapter Tactic that changes the way we play. We need baseline rules for Grey Hunters, Blood Claws, and Wolf Guard that makes each of them worth taking for different reasons. We need our bikes and jump packs to fill a role different from normal bikes and jump packs, even if it's as simple as being cheaper and crappier than those used by the chapters that specialize in them. I don't expect all or even necessarily any of those, but that's what I want, much more than new models. If GW is going to have separate army books for separate chapters, then they need to decide on a playstyle/fantasy for that faction and trb to fulfill it. With BT and BA and even CSM out there it's not enough for us to be "the melee guys". We should be the Masters of mid-range: equally skilled in close range shooting and melee even if it means being worse at melee than the melee guys and worse at shooting than the gunlines. As a side note, I want to see the game reward versatile units over specialists more than it currently does. But whatever GW decides, it has to pick *some* fantasy for the faction and do what it can to promote that. Wispy Posted July 6, 2018 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Just curious, if we got what BA And DA got (Primaris plus upgrade sprues) + a couple Primaris characters (like a Primaris Wolf Lord and a Priest of some sort), would you would be okay with that?
