A.T.
With regards to mapping out a path for Xerxes to complete the infiltration - a light sprinkling of the 'angry servitor' variant of the virus to draw the techpriests out, ideally in some way that isn't easily linked to them such as a remote servo skull or Ephialtes showing off his rarely used body-stealing ability to hijack a servitor. He'll need to scope out what passes for a mechanicus presence here and how isolated/integrated they are with the locals before any of them go missing. Lysimachus
Are we still on the edge of Ithyca? Is this our first warp jump, or one (of maybe a few?) where we've stopped, re-entered realspace to check position, and about to jump back in again? Â I had thought it was the latter, but now I'm less sure...? Â Â Edit: Â Quote GM: Players may consider themselves, 'in transit' via a short warp jump plotted by cogitator. Sleight of Hand, Pickpocketing, Cut-pursing, Sticky-fingeredness of the non Slaaneshi variety...  Not that I condone such action/matters, of course. Certain thefts will, of course, incur Corruption. Necronaut
@Lysimachus I would urge you to reconsider that position. We are Renegade/Chaos space marines. Lysimachus
I assume Pylar Grenn is the same as Lt Grenn (running the flotilla of old ships when we picked up the Razor) - but didn't his group join us after we switched ships? We've got at least the one bomber aboard, though I'm not 100% clear how we got it...? That kind of thing.  It's the Shire, but with machine guns.  Bounty also provides men for the PDF, and the best of those go into the Guard Regiments. Healthy, outdoor-work hardened men provide a good crop too, and cut down on a lot of louts tearing up the place.  Edited April 1 by Mazer Rackham FabiusV4lcoran 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383216-bc-the-blackest-heart-ooc/page/118/#findComment-6164192 Share on other sites
Lysimachus
Sorry GM, could I please ask for a little clarification? Â Are those numbers for the whole station (all 3 arms), or just the processing arm? Â I thought during the lockdown period, everyone was sent to the habitat block while work is done on the mining equipment? Â Does that mean there are currently around 1.8k people (the majority of the normal workforce) on the habitat arm, and 200 on the mining block? Â Edit: Also, does that include numbers of controllers/guards on the third Block? Mazer Rackham
44 minutes ago, Lysimachus said: Are those numbers for the whole station (all 3 arms), or just the processing arm? Â All three. Apologies if Strabo did not make this clear. When the platform goes into shutdown, the workers clear the station almost entirely. They go on holiday, get redeployed, go home, whatever - but they bug out, they ain't there - at all. Think of it as an oil platform ready for serious refit, or a ship in drydock. Skeleton crew, fixing up the repairs from running patches to permanent fixes/replacement of parts. Â This is why Strabo wanted you to do it now. Â 44 minutes ago, Lysimachus said: Edit: Also, does that include numbers of controllers/guards on the third Block? Â All the staff there includes everyone - controllers, house security, harbour pilots, engineers, the lot. Â Again, why Strabo wanted you to hit it now. Â Apologies for any confusion - does this help at all? Â EDIT: This does also make all plans proposed thus far completely feasible. Lysimachus
Thanks boss, that's excellent news!  So, 200 mortals? Not too large a number for potential press-ganging, then? Split them up among our crew and they're only 1 in 40 ish, should be safe enough?  Not a lot in the way of guards to stop us either?  Another question I should have confirmed before, but I think I know the answer; there isn't much else in the Kataris system, is there? No Imperial Navy supply base or Subsector Capital world half an hour away? I feel like we would have been aware of it if there was, but I just wanted to make sure...   Edit: also, just wanted to say that I'm loving Bounty as a setting, it feels very... anachronistic? ...to your average 40k setting.  I'm sure it's all going to end in the usual blood and fire, but until we get there, it's a nice holiday in the countryside!    Edited April 1 by Lysimachus Iron Father Ferrum, Necronaut, BadgersinHills and 1 other 2 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383216-bc-the-blackest-heart-ooc/page/118/#findComment-6164207 Share on other sites
