I, personally, do not discriminate between ranks and use them all interchangeably.

Victim,

Player,

Deadman,

Meatsack,

Shovelbait,

Corpse-in-waiting,

Candidate for pre-explosion,

The list goes on, but it's always done with respect and affection.

Or at least that's what your headstones will say.

@Mazer Rackham did we dedicate the station raid to a particular chaos god? I vaguely remember it being suggested we dedicate this to Khorne.

It's in the Data Thread.

You're all horney for Khorney and his golden, nutty flakes.

Seriously, though, apologies, I take your point that a Magos is generally a higher rank than an Adept... but it's also true that anyone who has held any rank in any of the 'Adeptus' organisations can technically be referred to as an 'Adept'.

I take your point, player of Scout Hagga.

An alternative suggestion, if people would prefer not to use the RT idea?

“Tell them we are a privately owned ship, currently on our way to hunt xenos raiders in a nearby system - one that is close enough to Kataris for us to travel there in the same time frame… but far enough away from it that we will not immediately be connected with the destruction of Nydax’ platform.”

“Make up the names of the Captain and our vessel as you wish. Select a suitable system to claim we are travelling to. We are warriors, but you are star-sailors. We will trust to your collective knowledge to supply the necessary details.”

The hunting story fits with having the DEldar bodies, though my only concern with that is, aren't we admitting to being a private military vessel? We obviously aren't Imperial Navy, and if we aren't connected with a RT or Chartist/Merchant Navy, would they be ok with us sailing around?

Having reread this, you do bring up a good point about us publicly broadcasting that we're a private mercenary vessel in Imperial space. That would raise eyebrows. I'm coming back around to saying we're working for so-and-so Rogue Trader, (maybe even the White Tigress herself or possibly that Nydax fellow to really confuse matters?) and stating we're in effect hunting the aliens for some slight or another (stolen trinkets, a maimed household pet, blue dye put in the punch bowl at a birthday party, that sort of thing), essentially something that honour would demand retribution for the slight but only annoying enough to send our angry little dinghy out to deal with, something to which the guy working the passport control desk could turn to his colleague with an eyeroll and just say "bloody nobles" in response and then promptly forget.

Claim that we're part of a Rogue Trader flotilla pirate-hunting, but don't mention which one unless pressed?  No need to give away too much information, and we don't want to tip our hand in case word gets back to Nydax that someone's sailing around claiming his colors.  Unless we have to, that is.

To be fair, it's a stereotype for a reason... picture us flying Ork-style instead, erratically weaving through the queue, shooting at the other ships...

And I would have voted for sneaking out of the system at the exact opposite side of the Mandeville sphere to where the Dauntless Cruiser was waiting...

You're saying that like I need to try:tongue:

Seriously, though, have we got that? If it's a requirement and we don't, I'm really not sure why we came this way? Kinda forces us to make a break for it right in front of the Imperial Cruiser! :ermm::laugh:

There is one 'person' on this ship with a very silver tongue, though...

Alternatively, on an Opposed, Hard (-20) Tech Use Test, you could 'fudge' some e-documents which would pass muster.

If you want to quit the gate, you can do that. I'll make a roll against how much traffic they have vs how much they're glad to see the back of you. Will take you longer to get to the target, though - essentially coming this way was faster.

Up to you.

Well we're with the Red Corsairs, we should have used a Pirate Point!

Hmm, what do we think, gents?

Option 1 (ask Delly for help, I think is the implication?) seems like a really bad idea to me...

Option 2 - faking some travel visas @Machine God what's your target on a -20 Tech-Use test? I'd say depending on the odds, that might be a better option than...

Option 3 - running seems like a mistake now we're here? Just going to draw more unwanted attention, especially now we've spoken to them?

But it very much depends on MG's chances of success?

@Mazer Rackham - I know that you might consider the idea Whovian but shouldn't the Mandeville Point also have a fourth coordinate for time?

Everything in space is moving because of gravity.

A fair point, hadn't thought of it, TBH.

However, I have the excuse that a GM is never late, nor is he early, his gravity is always exactly when it means to arrive...:whistling:
