FlamingDeth's Achievements

  1. I would love a campaign book with more in depth rules for running one, and adding a pile of options to units for granularity, basically any options that have existed in previous books that someone could have modeled.
  2. If you aren't afraid of some minor conversion work, it shouldn't be too hard to modify the existing kit for that one a bit. Replacing the front bumper/fender setup that has the grot tied to it with, for instance, the spiked bumper from the trunk kit could alter the silhouette quite a bit for little effort. Any changes made to the driver and gunner would also go a long way, even if it's just a head swap and sticking on some shoulder pads from the boyz or nobz kit. Rotating the arms holding the molotovs could also help differentiate it.
  3. I just assumed one set was it's formal feet, some polished Oxford captoes.
  4. Man, I know they're not done, but in their present state they remind me of Ninja turtles and I mean that in the best way possible.
  5. I'd go with a company designation on the kneepad. Barring that, a campaign badge of some variety.
  6. I have the same problem there, I have trouble doing even ten boyz are once. I know intellectually it'll go faster if I batch paint like crazy but killing your motivation sort of negates that. I think I can only really work on 2-3 at once, and even then I prefer doing them one at a time. It goes at a glacial pace that way but at least then I feel like I'm making progress.
  7. Man, that helmet gets around, hopefully it was deloused first. Good work on the painting!
  8. The gradient on that yellow is fantastic.

Kans still have uses even outside the specialist detachment. I run one in front of each of my boyz mobz so they can loot it if the opponent destroys it, and if they don't destroy it then it's still a fairly competent CCW in their back lines. I guess you don't need six of them for that though. If you have three extra unbuilt kits though you can still use them for their treasure trove of bitz. I use a lot of their components when looting other things.

Paint the kans! They're situationally useful and more importantly fantastic models. For maximum ETL impact I'd say the most important models are the kans, dread, and kopta, and if they're tooled up the nobz. As far as playing, you have to be a little less precise with orks than, say, marines if you want to play faster. If your boyz are all bunched up most opponent's will let you measure the front rank and then just push the rest of them forward and if they don't the can't complain about going slow. Also make sure you know what you're going to do before your turn starts, don't plan during your turn, that's what the enemy turn is for. Batch roll dice as much as possible. If it's still going slow, mechanize. Eight trucks moves faster than 96 infantry.
  11. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you forgot the K in his name on the shoulder pad.
  12. Aha. Sounds like a good basis for a big mek though!
  13. How big is the deck on that thing? You may he able to use your Titan as a kill team board...
  14. How's the size? I was under the impression that the ambot was meganob sized or very slightly bigger. Also, that's a good strategy for ETL, I'll have to loot it and actually finish my weirdboyz.
