XVIIIth Legion Saturnyne Rams (pre-Vulkan Salamanders). Layers for gold or black logo, plus green background layer (use the Layers side panel in Acrobat/Adobe Reader to choose layers). NOTE: The downloadable file here is a sample sheet. The full A5 sheet, due to size, is stored offsite in my decal Google Drive. (Can't believe I never posted this. Prepped it years ago, but apparently kept it private.)-

By commission from Grand Master Laertes, depthcharge12, and Atia. The Legio Fureans of the Dark Mechanicus Traitor Titan Legion, scaled for use on Imperial Knight models. Note: will require the use of Mechanicum decals provided with the Imperial Knight model for best appearance. This sheet allowed me to do two new things. First, it is one of the first public sheets I've posted with multiple images, and the first not scaled for Space Marines or their vehicles. Second, it is the first sheet I've produced that takes advantage of the layer options in Adobe Acrobat/Reader. The logos appear on the top layer, with additional layers to print the sheet with a Legio Fureans yellow background, Fureans flames behind the logos, or a light blue background (though the last may only be of use on screen to show what white/light logos are present).-

Recon squad finished up, bonus statuary.
Noserenda posted a blog entry in Noserenda's meandering path to dubious glory
First Squad finished, i grouped all the bare heads in this half and it pained me :D Turns out after a few years mostly painting SoS my marine face skills have atrophied a bit but i felt a Veteran Recon squad would be full of the types to go bareheaded in a warzone with a big beard! 301502463_10160198129495797_1345052255596126435_n Still, not my best work overall but perfect is the enemy of finished and their assecories came out alright which is gratifying lol 302335850_10160198129340797_4196179141440337787_n I also got my WH+ Assassin through and got to work on the fun bit, she is mostly done but ill probably do a little more once the sub assemblies are together, just really happy with how this came out so far! I spent a lot of time staring at damaged painted statues which are surprisingly hard to find to try and get the look right. 286266191_10160202547560797_8438937748685402211_n -
Hello to everyone that may decide to follow me on this journey. A little background on me to explain where this is going and why I do things how I do them. I'm a slow painter at heart, with the, let's call it standard, approach to painting of applying a basecoat, shading, highlighting and so on it takes me ages to paint a unit. Adding to that the fact that when I apply basecoats on 10+ models in a row with a brush I feel like my soul is being sucked out and you can easily see why the idea of painting a full army is terrifying for me. BUT, I love fully painted armies. In my whole 17 years of hobby i only managed this feat twice, the first time it was a Black templar army (a weird one since it hade 6 land speeders thyphoon in it and it was almost a gunline, that packed some serious punch tho) and the second time an army for warmachine (other zealots with a penchant for flamethrowers). With the free time getting less and less as the years go by I started a journey of efficiency improvement and I'm now trying to paint a new army and finding my own way of speed painting at the same time. I want to point out that I greatly enjoy assembling and painting miniatures, just not basecoating. I decided to build a loyalist Alpha Legion force to start the process with the end goal of having a flexible force, playable as the different space marines chapter supplements and if needed even as chaos later down the line. Here's a teaser of what I've completed so far. Tactical demi-squad Hecaton. A quick couple of notes, I plan to go back and redo the plasma effect and I suck at taking pictures . Tell me what you think and what you like and don't, what I mostly enjoy of forums is the great degree of interaction with other hobbysts.
