Ooooh pretty.

That tank came together perfectly. It isn't too busy (which I think is pretty easy with Slaanesh) but it is most definitely a vehicle given over to a crew of less than entirely stable personalities.

Phenom work buddy!

Excellent work, lots of little details and freehand make it pop.

Well done on finishing everything in your vow to such a high standard

Many thanks MR. Now I need to try and do better than my Sorcerer...somehow.

Cheers Flint. Had to hold back from just slapping paint all over it. Did get some confidence back with the free hand stuff.

I'm loving the tank Forte!

A shame this is not an emoticon: OGC :P

Lost me on that one lol. Cheers though ;)

Awesome!

Love the freehand work!

Thank you. I nearly didn't do it.

congrats on the vow finish bud

nice work on the tank too:wub:

Cheers. Still take a lot to top your current conversions.

Stormsword is insainly good. Love all the little details.

Thank you. Glad I went that route.

Right then. With the ETL well and truly over (congratulations to everyone who got some painting done for that), and my other project about half way done (which I can't post on the B&C  ). It's time to have a think on what will come next.

A Carcharodon Kill Team is option one really. Will more be about posing, basing, making MkV armour from MkVII, and weathering. Likely in the same colours as my last tank. Quick and dirty too.

Second option is an Alpha Legion HQ model for 30k done from the current SM plastic kit. MkVI armour.

Third option is partly thinking about the possibility of an up coming Call of Chaos. This would involve building my Noise Marine squad and a couple of Spawn in time for mid October. All ready to go crazy with paint.

So apologies for the lack of posts. If you would like to see my current project then take a gander at my blog (Forté Nocturnus). Hope to have something new here next month (so long as I don't get distracted too much with Malifaux or Infinity).

Sounds good forte!

All three options sound pretty intriguing. Personally I'm hopping for the 30k Alpha Legion HQ, but getting ready for the call of chaos is probably the most practical of the three.

Ps. Just had a look at your blog. Great work on the Shaman. The skin tone has some awesome depth to it :)

Been reading through the 3rd HH book and the AL are quite interesting. That and I looked through the HH part on the B&C and there are a few dine with washesh over metallics which look really good and give that blue/green look so he may be a tester for a small force in the future (I'll have to remember to minimize colour mixing and make note of exact colours too).

Cheers for the Shaman comment. He's my little break from power armour and an excuse to experiment too. Want to do more display basing too so may even try something with the AL HQ.

Alphas, without a doubt.

Their color scheme is the only one more widely debated than the Sons of Horus. If anyone can get a wacky, malleable color scheme down and make it look *baller* it's you, buddy

It's actually Cornelias' thread which has me wanting to try an Alpha

As for the Shaman. The skin is just shaded. The colour is a mix of Orkhide, Liche purple, and Vallejo Khaki and still needs highlighting done (soon fingers crossed).

Hmm...I could do the Noise Marine squad and Alpha Legion Consul (not decided what exactly yet) for the CoC.

I think all 3 options are something I'd like to see you do at some point but for now I'll throw my vote to the Carcharadon kill team.

It offers a lot of scope for conversions and unique freehand and it'd be something different from your Chaos projects.

Regardless of which option you decide on, the inspirations will abound. So, I'll be checking in regularly :)

*though my vote is for Carcharadons ( less on the sharky more on the brutality)
