Funny that I never managed to finish a single Space Wolf though. One day eh. Maybe for a laugh I'll do two. Me and Arez squabbling during battle maybe for old time sake.

Well I can say it's amazing what you can get done when you're home alone.

Tha evening was spent doing lots of highlighting to push this much closer to being finished. Maybe I'll even have it done by the weekend...maybe.

Still got a way to go but he's coming together and can't wait to have him finished now.

Most things taste better than those washes. Even a mouthful of Hawk Turquoise tastes better (yup, I ment to put it on my palette and stuck it in my mouth. Serves me right for being on my phone at the same time).

Hehe..yup, I'm pretty please with myself now. Mostly because I've finished my first vow within a month (almost a record for me), but also because my Divine Flayers finally have their Lord (which is actually my third attempt in way too many years).

Here he is...

First up, the gaming choice. Fistyclaws (powerfist & lightning claw)

And for special occasions..Blade of the Relentless and Plasma Pistol

Can easily admit that I'm pretty chuffed with him. The main aim was to improve over my Sorcerer and I feel I have, just about. Hope you like, or dispise him ;)

So what's next then...well...I think the Iron Warrior Champion that I added to the Flayers may have a couple of pieces of armour with excessive shell size and blast radius. And I may be attempting a display piece of a plague Lord in TDA, though that wont be usable in games while he's wading through shin deep, corpse riddled liquid.

Till then, I have rivets to glue and warpflame gargoyles to figure out.

Too regular? His skin is pinned to his skull and he has wings ;)

 

It is a tough call though. The sorcerer is certainly creepier due to the face.

Oh gawd, well I know I started with a mix of VMC flat flesh & VMC cavalry brown. But the shadows have extra cavalry, and some blue, red, and purple. Highlights go up to VMC ivory. Problem is I just kept adding thin washes to places. Sorry that's not much help.

No problem! I usually build up the layers with a lot of glazes and washes, that I forget, myself. The result is often best when you experiment.

Oh this guy is amazing Forte, suitably sinister and vibrant. I love the fact that his face is pinned to his skull and the combination of vibrant colours, rather than the usual pink and black. Also, the wings and the dead templar are excellent choices. 

 

Im curious as to how you did the turquoise part of the armour, it looks almost alive or like glass. BTW, is his left pauldron supposed to be made of marble!?

His right pistol one is marble too ;) And yes, that was on purpose. Goes back to the weapons on my Kakophoni.

 

The turquoise goes from P3 Coal Black through old GW Hawk Turquoise, P3 Arcane Blue, VGC Verdigris, and to VMC Off White. All with mixes in between. Tried to do it the way Andy Wardle showed at Salute.
