Fantastic work on the Chaos Lord - both in kitbashing and painting. The squad on the previous page, as well as the Orlocks-as-cultists, look great too. Your painting is so neat!

GIrlyman is looking mighty fine too. Just a shame it is Girlyman. ;)

Thanks Augustus :D, I have really enjoyed painting the Chaos Lord, a little more than Guilliman to be honest. There is so much detail on him, it's easy to miss a bit and have to go back and fix it. I think this will be the only Guilliman I paint (ever). Looking at the Orlocks though I am a little unsure, I mean I am fine with how they look but not sold on the red loincloths. They look very bright compared with everything else I have painted for this army so I am considering black instead. I will have to see how it looks on the next batch before deciding to change those I have already finished.

Love the orlocks, it's an idea I had in mind too and it's great to see them in legion colors as inspiration.

Thanks :), They do work well although, they are slightly taller then chaos cultists. As long as you don't mind the scale being inaccurate then they are OK. I will likely build up the bases on my marines with some cork to give them a little extra height.

That Night Lords commander looks freaking beautiful, everything looks so perfect! Guilliman is looking good too, nice to hear we might be seeing some more blood angels in the future as well!

Thanks Vairo :D, he is fast becoming my favourite model. The Blood Angels will indeed get to see some hobby time soon. I will probably finish the Terminators so I have a decent Vanguard detachment to start with. For now though I have quite a few Night Lords to finish but hopefully I can knock those out and get back to it.

Thanks for the comments folks, more to follow soon!

Afternoon all,

I have finished the second Contemptor for my Night Lords. This one has two close combat claws and plasma guns:

I had to fix a lot on this guy, he was an eBay purchase and needed quite a bit of work. I am fairly happy with it, though there are some things I may revisit later. Here is a picture of the two Night Lords Contemptors together:

At some point I will add a Leviathan to this little group. I have seen several very cool examples and would love to give that a go myself. As always C&C is very welcome.

Nemac

Thanks guys, glad you like them :)

@Bio - I would love to tackle a Leviathan, especially if I can find someone selling the head from the standard Night Lords Contemptor so I can keep the skull mask theme going. I have bookmarked a guide that Augustus pointed me to that shows how he does his flayed skin so adding that to the shoulders and knees would be cool too :D

I have also finished five of the second CSM squad so will get a picture of those up as soon as I can.

Nemac

I may have a spare skull head from the old FW Black Legion Dread if you can’t get a hold of the NL one, definitely plenty of space for some flayed skin on the Levi.

That would be awesome mate, thanks :D. I will let you know when I have the Leviathan because that head from the BL dread is so very cool!

stellar work dude!

Thanks Heinrich :)

Love the pose on the first one 'nought, and they look lovely together. I thinks you need a third.

Thanks HNL :). And a fourth and a fifth...

Great work Nemac! They look brilliant together

Thanks Midnight :). I posed them in a way that they are opposites, a bit like bookends really.

Sterling work, they look smashing together.

Thanks Pearson :)

More to come soon guys. I will be working on objective markers soon too. One I already have built and need ideas for the rest. Thanks again for all the comments.

Brother Nemac, excellent work on one of my favorite lost sons chapters. I think your modeling and paint work are quite exceptional:yes: I noticed that your earlier models were more black with blue highlights. This gave your minis a more ghostly feel imo. Your current style is quite nice too. Both are excellent and bring out the details quite nicely. I look forward to seeing more of your work:thumbsup:

Looking really nice man! A Leviathan will add to the family nicely!

Double trouble in the form of walking tanks! And it would be awesome to see you make a leviathan!

Thanks guys :), I will definitely be adding a Leviathan at some point. I am actually fairly excited about the idea :D

Thanks Brother Lunkhead :), I really liked the old scheme but wanted to do something a little different for 8th Edition. I Have actually sold that army with the exception of my First Claw models (they will never leave me). I should have a small update a little later today.

Thanks again for the comments guys.

Afternoon all,

I had finished the first five of the second CSM unit the other day but didn't get a chance to take pictures. I have now managed to get them done and so here they are:

gallery_74887_13568_213222.png

I have heavily converted the legs from a spare Night Raptor so I could keep the details around the chest on the sergeant. The crotch and right thigh and knee plate are all from a MKIV plastic set of legs and the other parts are from the Night Raptor. An utter faff to get it to look right but I feel it was worth the effort. As I mentioned before the hair on the furthest right marine was made with greenstuff and the chains hanging from the melta guy at the back are from a Dark Imperium Death Guard marine.

I have also finished the first of my objective markers - This one features a dead Night Lord using some spare parts from several other conversions:

I am a little lost on ideas for other objective markers and Google hasn't turned up anything that I fancied copying either. I will have to have a long think about what I want the rest of them to represent. I had planned to do five objective markers in total. That should be more then enough for most games. My two regular opponents play Dark Angels (fluffy right ) so maybe a dead Dark Angel would be quite fitting. Maybe even a Blood Angel to represent my loyalist army.

Much to think about and please excuse my rambling :). C&C is always welcome.
