Inspired by the great Blackadder (see here for one of the best build logs on the internet), I have been spending a week or two drawing up my own vision of the Imperator-class Titan. Obviously this is a great deal easier to do in the 3d memory of a computer than physically in real life, however nonetheless I present to you all the "Pillar of Terra's Wrath"... In doing this modelling work, I have attempted to match fluff with appearance. the Imperator is, as depicted here, a little under 70 m tall, from feet to top of the central tower (ignoring the dome on top). The converts to slightly over 227 feet tall, compared to the 32.76 m / 107' 6" of the Mars pattern Warlord. At 40k scale then, the Imperator would be approx. 1.32 m / 4' 4", whereas the Forge World warlord stands approx. 22.5" tall. This makes sense to me, as if the Imperator can mount primary Warlord weapons en masse on it's carapace there surely must be a significant size difference. In some images there is a Land Raider for scale... so the Imperator isn't as big as one might first image!

I sold off a ton of old models on ebay recently (with more to sell soon). Like any rational adult, I decided to use some of that money to buy a titan. Ended up getting a Revenant because I wasn't sure if the Phantom was too much for me. I've barely started working on it but it's already been a lot of work so I want to keep track of it. To start with, I wanted it standing victoriously over something. I have some vehicles I printed for marines, which is an army I've given up on. Since I don't want to sell models I printed using someone else's designs, I decided to chop up one for the Revenant to be standing on. I wanted to cut this along the red line. Cutting this ended up being harder than I expected. I wanted to clamp it and use a power saw, but I couldn't do that safely so I tried a handsaw which took forever so I gave up. I ended up just pressing it into an orbital sander at an angle. That worked much better (though I ruined 2 sheets of sandpaper, which I'm 100% fine with). The front rail thing broke off when I was sawing it but I can either reattach it or have it in the dirt nearby, whatever I think works better. I built this foot on the top of the wreck (though it isnt glued on yet) so that the heel and toe would fit better on the uneven surface, but I honestly don't think that mattered at all. I only used super glue (not epoxy) due to the small size of the connector bits so I hope that holds. But to be honest this whole model doesn't weigh that much so I think it should be fine. This is where I left off last night. I pinned the shin to the foot with 1/8" brass rod which is probably overkill but that seems fine. Very glad I got a nice pen drill last year, I hate drilling resin by hand! I'm hoping to build the other leg (to stand flat on the ground beside the wreck) tonight, if I have time.

Hi! New to this section of the site. I'm not really an Adeptus Mechanicus player. My hobby experience is mostly in Astartes (BT specifically), but some Admech models/Imperial Knights really stood out for me, and I ended up collecting them. I currently have a playable force of House Hawkshroud Knights that I'm slowly working on, but... I searched and scrolled through the Admech threads, and... is nobody building the FW Warlord Titan? I know (from personal experience) that it's a very large and expensive model, but I have to say that I'm a little surprised. I got one recently after years of dreaming of this model. Yeah, I could have picked up the smaller plastic version, but the massive model on the tabletop was the idea that got stuck in my mind. I kind of wanted to show off the model as I build it, but it didn't feel right to put it in my existing BT thread, or the progress I've made on my Knightly House. So, first off, am I even in the right place for this? And if so, would anyone be interested in watching as I either complete this behemoth model or just bungle the whole thing?

Ok, it's about time I put some of my finished work up here. I started painting Legio Tempestus back in June 2019 for a local escalation league, scrambling to get 1000-1250 points together ahead of a start date in the first week of July. As things played out, I was the only person to complete all six weeks of games, but it's probably an understatement to say I was hooked ;) So, why Tempestus? Well, waaaaay back in the day Bell of Lost Souls did a Horus Heresy supplement, and one of the guys painted up a Reaver in Tempestus' colors. I loved the retro blue armor & shard camo look. Painting lots of checkers & shard camo was going to be a personal technical challenge, and I figured I really wanted to go retro for my Adeptus Titanicus force for that nostalgia feel. I've been adding to this force off and on for about 8-9 months now, with two more Reavers in WIP and a Warbringer planned too. After that, I may bulk out my House Malinax auxilia a bit more, but once that's about rounded out, it'll be time to work on some Loyalist scum for an OpFor. Without further ado, here's a walkthrough of everything I've painted to date, in order of descending scale! I. Warlord Titans: The boys, scanning for targets. Magnets at the neck, shoulders and biceps for ease of part swaps. Stormbringer is my latest titan, and I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to do with this guy. In my mind, the overall battlegroup Princeps Senioris rides to battle in this Warlord, leading his forces and crushing the forces of the False Omnissiah. Kingslayer was my first Warlord and sixth titan overall. As with the pattern you'll see below, first titan of the series gets the split carapace scheme. II. Reaver Titans: The first two Reavers I've painted, with two more on the way! Everyone's magnetized at the elbow, carapace, and neck so I can easily swap around weapons and even cockpits. My initial plan for the escalation league was a Venator Maniple, hence turbolasers and a volcano cannon. My fifth titan. I knew I would be doing close combat Reavers eventually, but for my initial force, I wanted to go heavy on ranged gun platforms. III. Warhound Titans: *TEMPESTUS* let the dogs out (sorry; I couldn't resist). I magnetized the weapons at the elbow where the ball sockets click into the guns, but left the heads attached since I couldn't really swap them easily. The first pack I deployed. You'll note that in addition to the split carapace, every Warhound has its left shin split between checkers and shard camo. I wanted to be able to pick out my Warhound packs easily on the battlefield, so Warhound #3 was the first to get a white cockpit and a full shard camo carapace. This makes it a bit easier to represent Mantellum Fulmen, Tempestus' character titan, as well. IV. House Malinax: More on these guys later. The Acastus can swap weapon arms, but the missile pods are locked in place, as are the secondary guns. The Cerastus Lancers are mono-build; I didn't really see the need for Acheron or Castigator builds yet, and I'll definitely be using ~2-4 Lancers often. I'm proud of how I built the Questoris - you can't swap the secondary stubbers & meltaguns, but I magnetized everyone at the elbow and the carapace top, so when I finally get around to painting power gauntlets and missile pods I'll be able to run any and all gear combinations :) V. Objective Markers & Battlefield Assets: "Hey, you know what would be cool? What if I made tokens to represent Titan-Hunter Infantry, Forward Observers, or even Scatterable Mines...?" Yeah, those were fun projects. Also, I decided to convert Aeronautica Imperialis hex tokens and Adeptus Titanicus bunkers into numbered objective markers for use with Graham Sanders' Matched Play Missions (see his Claws & Fists blog here). I went a little overboard - I think I only needed four - but hey, why not? So if you made it this far, thanks for putting up with my amateur photography skills and for taking a look at what I've done to date for Legio Tempestus! I'll be adding to this as I get more engines painted, and we'll see where this goes!

WARNING - If you are a gentlemen or lady who prides themselves on fair gaming, careful painting and legitimate modeling - please read no further. If you are a gretchin bastard with 300+ dusty Empire, Ork and Lizardmen models, a titan built from wood and an Imperial Knight that very closely resembles Master Chief from Halo. This is the tainted list for you. The following filth will wipe clean any Astartes fool even if you give him an extra 1000 points... On top of this you will be summoning more twisted chaps on to the field, I managed to summon a Bloodthirster, not that it was needed... GLHF

So, I remember at one of the Weekenders there was a lot of talk about the upcoming Adeptus Titanicus, and that it was coming soon-ish. But since then, I have not heard a peep! We've heard more about Necromunda at this rate, another big shocker. Part of me is worried that they've bitten off more that they can chew and that the release is being delayed. Anyway, has anyone heard anything about when Titanicus may be coming? Or at least any guesses of when? http://pro.bols.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/AdeptusMech-4.jpg

A makeshift emblem I whipped up for the currently conceptual Broken Throne AU Titan Legio, Legio Gojira, who hail from an Oceanic Forge World where they fight gigantic Kaiju to ensure the safety of their forges. I edited this together in Paint from a Forge World symbol and a symbol used by the character Hannibal Chau from the movie Pacific Rim, I do not own either symbol. -
