The first imperial guard vehicle I have painted so far. This was my first attempt at weathering/battle damage and using pigments. I got this chimera 2nd hand (Like alot of my stuff) with broken guns and a terrible thick paintjob (lagain, ike alot of my stuff). I think it looks a bit better now, I'm painting the driver next. -

(Prototypes page 2) (Reservations page 3) With the advent of this new age and the ...relaxing of certain protocols some industrious Magi have taken the risk and pushed forward with the development of a new generation of Battle Tanks. I've never liked the look of the russ so I've finally decided to say screw it and design my own. I will be finishing this design in CAD before sending it off to shapeways for printing in high detail, then I'm going to drop it in some silicone so I can have all I want (currently planning an oversized armored cav troop of 12 tanks) I'm cribbing from some familiar conversion designs I've seen around (especially with the gubbins & greeblies) but everything is being done by visual ID without access to anything more than a Russ for a few minutes and a land raider (just took measurements for the width of the tracks) Project: Durandal, a new sword for the Guard. I may indulge in some commentary later between pictures but for now I need to get this up. and out there for your comment. -
Afternoon All... Dust Tactics models are on super sale at miniatures market right now, so I decided to splurge and bought 3 Heavy Destroyer Walker Tanks (Six-shooter/Bulldog). Going to run them in my militia army instead of Malcadors till I am resin rich again Has anyone ever seen Dust tanks converted over? Tried the search function but obviously Dust and Tactics brought up every tactic post and thousand sons post on the site lol. So, asking for your thoughts my B&C brothers. Just stomped my friend's Necrons with this list. Maybe I was just lucky, so any toughts on the list are welcome. Chimera -Turret: Heavy Flamer -Hull Weapon: Heavy Flamer So the idea was just to literally drive towards the enemy, shooting twice with turrets and than legit charge into combat. I put flamers so I dont get locked in combat with my blast weapons unable to shoot, also overwatch is great with flamers. Since my plan was to get really close, this worked great. Also I erased all his vehicles turn 1. The guards were there to sit behind and hug the objectives, while Chimeras were there to follow the tanks and clear objectives (with 2 flamer squads). I love the list, but I fought only Necrons and only once with it so I dont know if it would work as a general list.
