And here I like to present the aspiring sorcerer for my 2. ETL vow. The force weapon is sheathed and the bolter is magnetized in case I want some other option. 

 

 

 

Btw, he is based on this nice artwork. Ever since I saw this picture I wanted to have a miniature like that. Hope you like him.

An awesome miniature - but as a sorcerer? IIRC sorcerers aren't equiped with or allowed bolters. Wouldn't this dude be a cool Rubricae sergeant or something?

Yes they aren't but it is magnetized and can be exchanged. I don't think every TS aspiring sorc needs to wear a skirt. And if you look closely into bis other hand, you'll see that he is starting to cast a spell. And HQ sorcerers are allowed to have combi-bolters.

Aaaand the bolter is more or less for style, because of the artwork. One coukd argue, that normal rubricae don't cast spells etc. and that he would make a nice aspiring sorcerers.

Hm.. for me it looks like the older mor stubbier bolters of 2nd and 3rd edition. I'm working on a BP just right now before work starts. Wait a few minutes :)

I feel like the arm angle of the bolt pistol might work better pointed downward a bit, if that is possible. Nice casting hand btw.

So after the B&C downtime it is time again to show some minor progress and distractions...

I decided to redo the BL Maulerfiend with a more Thousand Sonier touch.

 

 

... after some time on the interwebs and my bitzbox I started this... Still missing some bits. Need some sweet horns to do some egyptian-style antique bull, like that one or that one. And the Maulerfiend exhausts... Damn those empty bits shops.

 

The neck of the old mauler is finished so far. After I finish my ETL vow I'll paint it up.

ETL-Progress: Thousand Sons Aspiring Sorcerer is finished. Both arms are magnetized and could be exchanged. I gave the elbow on the casting arm a stronger angle. Hope you like hin so far. After the ETL, when the weather is normal again, I'll seal him with mat varnish. The force weapon, a sword is sheathed.

I've really like seen the Thasound Sons army progress Aasfresser.  How many points/models have you got painted now?  I think i would be pretty cool to see you take on a Chaos Knight with a Thasound Son theme with all the cool & hard work you've done for your Thasound Son's force.

 

Also the Maulerfiend conversion look cool, really fit in with the theme/look of the Thasound Son's Legion.

Thank you, Augustus. I'm allready looking forward to the next ETL and Call of Chaos. I have so many more ideas for more Thousand Sons, Tzeentch Marines and demons...

Thank you, IP. Umgh... I don't know how many points I have painted up. I can say so much: I can't play 1850 p games with a fully painted army. That's because I painted and build so many sorcerers I don't really need. But I love them. And at some point I will indeed build a tzeentchian Knight. But first more bits have to be bought...

 

Glad you like the fiends. After ETL the first one will be painted and I will finally start painting my 5 'The Scourged' CSM/chosen with flamers. Depending in when CoC starts I'll wait and keep me entertained with some freebootin' orcs.

The whole Torso including head and left shoulder are one piece. That's the Thousand Sons trophy from the finecast wolfsomething on somethingwolf.

 

And ofc I can use whatever I want. But as far as I remember that apoc formation wasn't that great and its super outdated. Or is there somewhere an updated one? as for unbound, I considered it often but I like obsec to much.
