    Jagieŀŀo inspects their prizes

    By GSCUprising

The Resistance have finally captured the war machines they believe they require to make their stand.   Brutus, the Malcador, reliable, dependable the spine of their battleline. She will not fail them. She will hold the line, her battlecannon roaring, her sponsons blazing as she paves the way for the Resistance's advance. The Iron Duke, his twin Earthshaker cannons blasting holes in the enemy's fortifications. He guards those retreating and the wounded behind his massive blast shield

    XIVth Legion build

    By W.A.Rorie

So am I back from Indiana. I have to head back to move In-Laws into a Retirement Center, in a few weeks. And of course everything goes sideways at work moment I get back. So hobby time has been non existence. Silver Lining is LGS not get Saturnine until Monday, so I can get everything I need to do first i.e. my XIXth Legion and Exorcists  Call to Arms Vows, that I have not started. And won't have time this weekend.   I did start on building one of My XIVth Legion Commanders, not sure w

    Square Pants Bob

    By Bouargh

Hi Folks,   Today’s blog entry is a little bit specific as it deals with something different from my usual inputs: instead of reporting hobbying progress, I will talk about a trail I did for a new technique (à la TITH – i.e. something that is not new in general but new for me).     The technique is often reported on purpose of adding details and create battle damages or war-torn marks on miniatures. But beyond painting damages, the sponge might be used on purpose of

    Wrapping Wreckas

    By zulu.tango

Hit the throttle on the Wreckas last week. I've been painting pretty slowly this year all things considered, decided to change that with this project. Finished up free-hand on a few items, got the squigs painted up, did the bases and oil washes last week resulting in a final project I'm pretty happy with!    I dug out some of the leftover terrain bits I had from the sector imperialis/Chalnath terrain. I put a fine terrain paste around those bits and then put in some sand to act as larg

Call to Arms 2025: Week 2

Week 2 as come and gone and with it, not a lot of painting.     However, I do have twenty gaunts cleaned up with Contrast Leviathan purple and Contrast Ork Flesh.   A trip to the shops netted me a new Moot Green and I could finally begin drybrushing.     I was only able to get ten done as sadly my string of bad luck decided to continue as I spilled dirty paintbrush water over the remaining ten, meaning I was going to have to let them dry before

The Crusade of Spite (912-927M41)

+++INTRODUCTION+++ The Crusade of Spite was a retroactively declared Black Templars crusade spanning the years 912 to 927M41. It began as an one-hundred-and-fifty Astartes strong force that by ill-fate became stranded in the Matteus Subsector. Under the leadership of Marshal Tornelius Farro, the crusade included many engagements across the subsector, and all were effortlessly resolved by their intervention. Though the Black Templars were greatly dissatisfied with these mundane conflicts,

Call to Arms 2025: Week 1

Okay, a day late, but I'm here now and that's what counts!   So, my intention was to go box by box, which meant that the Hormagaunts and Barbagaunts were up first.   This started with a healthy drybrushing of white scars white, like this happy chap      Then, it was time to make things green. I settled for doing 5 Hormagaunts at a time, till they were all the same: (Okay, so all 20 weren't pictured, but they were done!)   With the bas

The Enemy does not sleep, nor shall we. - Chapter II part 4

"I am not corrupt," shouted Deputy Governor Reeta Nirom as she stood up.             Quickly standing each of the warriors rose with weapons in hand.  The Grey Knight Paladin's halbred began to glow, Captain Rey Rojo drew his special issue deathwatch bolter, Palatine Nataliea Harrow and Tempestor Prime Lonzo Wilkinson upholstered their plasma pistols the coils beginning to glow orange , the Frateris bodyguard activated their chainblades, and Celestian Sacrescent Bodyguards charged

"So as everyone is here, it is time to begin," said Inquisitor Lord Gregor Von Hal.      "Since it is your world, Governor Corvin Augulant, tell us what you know about the situation on Khymara Prime," asked Inquisitor Lord Von Hal.      "Our last report, the Adeptus Arbites, have reported multiple incidents of mysterious military grade incendiary devices used in building ruins, source unknown. The Local Enforcers have reported multiple encounters of extremely violent gang fig

The Enemy does not sleep, nor shall we. - Chapter II part 2

"Distinguish guests, please allow me to introduce, Astropath Varne Eckza, Commissar Kiera Lynx, Primaris Psyker Sasha Checkik," announced Trusted Acolyte Bella Ezriciore, as red robed figure entered the room walking with a cane, along with, a blonde female in black coat, hat, with a saber on her hip and a bald female, walking with a staff, in black jacket and black fatigues, and a silver psychic hood.        Astropath Eckza sat next to Ship Captain Augustius Samic, while Commissar Lynx

Vererable Brother Akheron - the 'Unyeilding'

"…and here we have not only a great example of the work you must undertake in order to keep our Chapter at fighting capacity, but an exemplar of our Chapter’s values.  This is Venerable Brother Akheron – now, you may have heard amongst some of our Brothers who have bestowed upon him the title the 'Illfortuned'.  From his first engagement as a line Intercessor – fighting to drive the Orks from our home Sector, where he lost an arm and leg to a crude Greenskin mechanised suit, it is true he has su

Call to Arms 2025: Building a Monster

Firstly, apologies for the radio silence since my last blog, which was also the first in a long while. Life is hectic and depression looms large.   Secondly, this was supposed to be up last night (Call to Arms Eve) but as I don't normally post progress reports till a week after, I figured it was okay.   I briefly mentioned my intent to magnetise a hive tyrant for the event, the centrepiece of my vow, and really, the whole army at this point. So, how did I get on?

The Enemy does not sleep, nor shall we. - Chapter II part 1

"Where's Mord," whispered Deputy Govenor Reeta Nirom to Governor Corvin Augulant.      They had been on the Heavy lander for about 2 hours. No information to where they were going, very little small talk or even why.  The flight had been smooth for a while. Governor Augulant scanned the room. There was a noticeable shaking of the Heavy lander.        " He was with us when we boarded. And where is Marshal Dylon, too" responded Governor Augulant.        The heavy lan

The Enemy does not sleep, nor shall we. - Chapter I part 7

The Aquila Lander and Valkyrie hovered at massive hanger doors as they opened. Both flew into the hangar and landed as the door closed behind them. As the ramp dropped on both aircrafts, the passengers began disembarking. A massive heavy lift aircraft sat in the middle of the hanger, its cargo bay was open. Inside you can see Aquila Lander and 3 Valkyries class aircraft being secured. The Inquisitorial Aquilions began moving towards the massive aircraft. Load crews and servitors began moving the

MacFarlane figure Complete!

Finished the details of my MacFarlane figure that I'll be using for reference for painting the colour-shift style I'm going for with my chapter armour.  The figure was sprayed with Rust-Oleum "Cosmic Blue" Colour Shift rattle cans (with the correct undercoat), and everything else was hand painted with good old Citadel paints. The spray paint was... not great to work with to be honest: It was, and still is, very sticky, so I have to be careful what I was holding it with, and because it's col

The Enemy does not sleep, nor shall we. - Chapter I part 6

Lady Satzie Lucotor, Descendant of House Ko'Iron, Prima Materis of the Khymara Prime, Hive Secondus, Priestess of God-Emperor Mankind, were her know titles. Rumors swirled she was head of the Cawdor gangs in the Underhive, but very few knew she was also the Matriach of the House of Redemption in the Khymara sector. As she sat in her grav throne her 2 Frateris Bodyguard with their red jackets stood on either side of her throne. The Cherubs fluttered around with censor and speaker. Lady Lucotor's

Armored Support acquired......

Well that was not planned....   I have a bunch of Phobos, more than I probably need or can use. It is all infantry and outside of the Suppressors and the one of the two squads of Eliminators having las-fusils, lack big guns. Plus the Scouts Sniper Rifle and Heavy Bolter.  Adding another Suppressors is out of the question, as they are expensive money wise. So how do I add big guns to the list.   So I was able to pick up a Gladiator kit Lancer will be added (well the

The Exorcists- The Hexbreakers

Despite their similarities to the Grey Knights, the combat doctrine of the Exorcists differs greatly. Unlike the Grey Knights, the Exorcists possess no special resources other than hardened resolve to fight the Daemonic, and are more strategically flexible due to their adherence to the Codex Astartes. They are known for their effective reconnaissance and large use of Scouts, deploying them behind enemy lines to collect intelligence. Indeed, many of these Scouts undertake combat duties that would
