  1. Something is coming from below New Van Saar miniatures you said? Sign me up! But it looks like more is coming...
  2. This is another channel I follow regularly, although my favourite is the Brits, these guys posted an excellent video on terrain and how they go through setting up the best table possible to play on that creates a fair and exciting match. Here's the link. It's a great video and I'm posting it here for my GK bro's who really need help protecting their troops and getting the best possible fair game of 40k in! This has helped me and my gaming group greatly and creates a fairer matchup and fun for both people. As always, take it with a grain of salt and do what you want, but it's well worth checking out.
  3. The end of another week has arrived. I hope it treated you well ... Or well enough ... Either way how about a brand new Glacial Geek Battle Report to wish it well or good riddance?! https://youtu.be/-m0qG-CXq3o This week my Deathwatch takes on the Space Wolves! Mistaken identity can cause some social awkwardness, but when that mistake points the finger at a supposed xenos threat, it can cause far worse. So when a pack of Wulfen are mistaken for aggressive Xenos invaders, the Deathwatch are dispatched to help purge the planet of the alien scourge. The Space Wolves are obviously not going to stand by while this happens and, perhaps more importantly, can't let the Inquisition know about the existence of their hirsute brethren. Will the Shield Who Slays be able to cleanse this planet of the Wulfen and report back to the Inquisition about their existence, or will the All Father look kindly upon the Boys from Fenris and aid them in their battle? Watch and find out!
  4. Yet another Monday rolls around to start a brand new week, so may as well greet it with a brand new Glacial Geek Battle Report! https://youtu.be/h85Z1iciG9s This week my Dark Angels take on the Necrons! The previous mission had ended in failure, but that did not mean the Dark Angels were ready to give up on this planet. More time was needed to fully evacuate the planet and prepare Exterminatus. The forces of the Unforgiven rallied and re-established a last line of defense against the awakening Necrons in hope that their sacrifice would help to save other planets the fate sealed within this one. Will the Dark Angels be able to hold back the Necron hordes, or will the Living Metal tide prove once again impossible to stop? Watch and find out!
  5. Another Friday, another week in the books, and another brand-new Glacial Geek Battle Report! https://youtu.be/eV84ocmLPbw This week my Deathwing take on the Sisters of Battle! Belial strode towards the Teleportarium, his ceramite boots banging loudly against the metal floor. He drew his Sword of Secrets and readied his Storm Bolter as he stepped up onto the platform. He readied himself with the squad of Deathwing Knights arrayed around him checking their weapons. A chapter serf ran into the room with a missive, "Sir, we have been hailed again by the Adeptus Sororitas forces on the planet's surface!" Belial glared at the man, "I made my intentions clear, we are not to respond to their hails until after our mission is over." The surf backed away a half a step, withering under the gaze of the Dark Angel's First Company Master, "Y-yes sir, but this hail seemed more important sir." Belial narrowed his eyes, "What could be so important that it would make you think that I would change my mind?" The serf cleared his throat, "Sir, this hail is coming from the Living Saint, Saint Celestine herself!" Belial paused for a moment, taken for a second with the news, "My orders still stand, no communications with them until we are done here." "Yes sir!" The serf responded as he turned and ran off. Belial stood there for a moment, thinking about the presence of the Living Saint herself being here and what that might mean. "Power coils are fully charged, sir!" called out the Techmarine manning the controls. Belial looked at him and nodded, "Send us down there, Brother." Will the Dark Angels be able to retrieve the information they need, or will Celestine lead her forces against them and stop their mission? Watch and find out!
  6. I didn't really know where to relay this video, but one of the local GW stores in Paris is about to turn 25 and they made this video to try and get our grand Lord Duncan's attention - the goal is to have him come to the celebration in April =) I think it is full of small nerdy funny bits that we'd enjoy here so I'm spreading the word :) If it's already been posted or of it's in the wrong section, my apologies, I will suffer my penance serving the Emperor in a warzone of His choosing.. I also did not know how to embed the video so I can only link it
  7. It's the beginning of a new week and the dawn of a new era in Warhammer! With the new edition of 40K officially released it's time to start building some armies and playing some games! To aid in either, how about a brand-new Glacial Geek 8th Edition Battle Report?! https://youtu.be/Kgp-0MBLk9A This week my Deathwatch take on the Iron Hands Space Marines! The battle had finished and the xenos forces had been either killed or driven off planet. Within the ruins of what had been a bustling Imperial city lay the fallen xenos weapons and artifacts left behind by dead or fleeing warriors. These devices held untold secrets that would be prized by many. Two such groups wanted them for themselves. The Mechanicus convinced a force of Iron Hands to go out and collect the technology for them, while the Inquisition's Ordo Xenos sent forth a group of Deathwatch to go collect the xenos tech for them. When the two groups met they begrudgingly took up arms against each other to achieve their mission goals. Will the Iron Hands be able to collect the xenos tech to the Mechanicus in return for their continued ministrations, or will the Deathwatch prove the stronger ally for the Ordo Xenos in this race for the artifacts? Watch and find out!
  8. IT'S 8TH EDITION EVE!!! To celebrate I am posting a SECOND full length Glacial Geek 8th Edition Battle Report this week! In this one my Dark Angels take on the Forces of Chaos! https://youtu.be/8-KauOE5I5g The Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain read the missive, "And we are positive this is what was sent?" The Chapter Serf who had delivered the message nodded his head, "Yes my Lord, the Astropaths were adamant that this was the message exactly." The Interrogator-Chaplain turned and walked away, "Then inform the captain we have a new destination to plot travels towards." He walked through the halls of the ship until he arrived at a nondescript door and knocked. "Enter." came the short reply. The Interrogator-Chaplain entered the room and bowed his head to Ezekiel, "Brother, we have received a disturbing message via Astropath." The Chief Librarian put down the book he was reading and turned to the Interrogator-Chaplain, "What was the message?" The Interrogator-Chaplain raised his head, "It consisted of two lines, 'The planet has fallen to the forces of the Arch-Enemy. Their numbers include fallen Astartes.'" Ezekiel stared at the Interrogator-Chaplain for a moment and slowly stood up, "Do you think it is the Fallen?" The Interrogator-Chaplain shook his head, "There is no way to tell from the message, brother, but ignoring it is not a risk I am willing to take ..." Will the Unforgiven be able to stop the forces of the Dark Gods, or will the forces of Chaos prove too much? Watch and find out!
  9. It's a chilly, overcast day here in Alaska. What better way to avoid all that nature stuff than indoors with a brand new Glacial Geek 8th Edition Battle Report?! https://youtu.be/LPfn6R-74Nw This week my Deathwatch take on the Ynnari! There was a new threat to the Imperium of Man. The vile xenos forces or the Eldar, once divided into disparate factions, had, recently, been rallying around a new god. These combined forces, calling themselves the Ynnari, were a greater threat to mankind than their individual parts. So when a force of these aliens landed on an Imperial planet, the Deathwatch were sent in to cleanse the planet for the Emperor. Though they may go by a different name, they bleed none the less and that is all that matters to the Deathwatch. Will the Shield That Slays be able to wipe the xenos from this planet, or will the combined forces of the Ynnari prove too potent even for them? Watch and find out!
