Had a few hours tonight and just got a few bikes, also bored of waiting for the rest of my ETL stuff to sort itself out :lol:

So I painted this up.

Highlights are a bit rough and the freehand isn't great, but It fits a scheme I haven't painted in about a year and a half and was just a quick something to do.

Got a couple more RW bikes to come as well as a Libby conversion, also have another 3 bikes (though I think I'm short of arms) that will be done up for the Tearers.

Might get some of this done, if not all, before I declare my full intent for the ETL III and then after that who knows....

When you next do an 'oil' streak on a marine, try dragging the wash/ink from a corner across to a flat area, less is more and you'll achieve a much finer oil steak if that makes sense

Really happy with how it's com out as I was unsure of how to approach FT bikers, though I've just noticed I forgot to do the handlebar :doh:

Really happy with the face, especially given how easy it was to do. The stubble has come out better than expected too :D

Think I've finally found a good way to do gold too :)

Was annoyingly simple to do

 

Charandon Granite and Vallejo Glaze Medium mixed about 40%/60% and then a little water till it starts to look a little translucent then just apply it like a highlight where you want stubble. variable number of coats depending how dark you want it and that's pretty much it

Zerkers are done, all that's left are the Chosen & Dark Apostle. I may dive straight into these as having just had my cat Midnight pass away I'm finding painting is one of the few things I can focus on without getting upset. It's hitting my partner worse as she had her for 16 years so then again I may take a brief break so I can just spend time with her.

But no worries regarding my vow, I'll have it done in time either way.

Been away for a while as the ETL burned me out a bit, but I was recently given some random bits and bobs which have piqued my interest and got me painting again.

Here's a couple of things I've done this past week.

I do have two tactical squads and a jump pack command squad available, but I've already got a Flesh Tearer force.

As far as Chaos goes however I have some goodies on the way there, including some ancient terminator models (for which I'm unfortunately having to replace the arms :( ).
