Back up to the HQs this week. The chaos lord is, at base cost, our cheapest Hq. If you take him as is he starts at 85pts, replace his chainsword or bolt pistol and he can get pricier real quick. A lord of the legion - he enables rerolls of 1s to hit fore CORE models And he has a 4+ invunerable save. Who uses the basic lord and why?

Hiya, lads. I've been wondering - when is this Chaos Lord sculpt from? I've got one as part of my "all old" Death Guard army, alongside some Plague Marines (all 3E or older) and a Finecast Typhus. Mine's in metal specifically. Note that this image is not mine, but my phone is far from cooperative. It's the same sculpt, however. Edit: Answer was found - after Fulkes' research and cross-referencing with the thing I didn't think to do - i.e. look at Lexicanum for five seconds - he's a 3E metal Chaos Lord. -
So I'm curious how everyone equips their Chaos Lords for 9th edition. I might actually have the opportunity to start playing again soon, so I'm whipping up lists and such and prepping my models. Going off just what I have now, I could field the Kranon/DV Lord as plasma pistol/Shadeblade though I'll probably stick with my Terminator Lord with Viper's Bite and Headhunter at first (to drop in with Termies or Oblits). If you've got something fancy or unexpected to show off, I'd like to see it!

= PERSONAL LOG: FABRICATOR-GENERAL ZEPHANIAH ADRIYEN, FORGE WORLD RAGNARUS = = ON THE SUBJECT OF LORD DRUGANIN, FORMER WORLD EATER = = BEGIN LOG = It is to be warned that the Bloodied Sons - the name of the former Sixth Company of the Crimson Knights currently staging assaults against the outer rim of the Ragnarus system - are led by two major individuals: Daemon Prince Traditorio, their Captain, and Lord Druganin, a member of the World Eaters who has sworn himself to Traditorio. The two are inseparable, as they complement each other's combat roles; Traditorio is a duelist by nature, whereas Druganin has a strong affinity for the slaying of great swathes of enemy forces. Druganin has a stolen and modified Shuriken Catapult belonging to Craftworld Iamfeth, a local Craftworld featuring an inordinate number of Wraith constructs; they do, however, keep a Guardian militia, which is where Druganin "acquired" the weapon from. He also wields a venerable chainaxe, which has been wielded by him since the days of the Horus Heresy. Druganin uses a set of powered armor in pre-Heresy World Eaters colors, with parts taken from multiple marks of armor, including pauldrons from a set of Mk. IV armor, greaves from a set of Mk. VI armor, no gauntlets (he prefers leather gloves) and a helm style utilized by World Eaters Veterans during the Heresy. Finally, he wears a jump pack of a more recent design, stolen from a Crimson Knights Vanguard Veteran Sergeant. If encountered on the battlefield, Druganin is to be targeted above all but Traditorio himself, as he is highly dangerous of a foe. = END LOG = I think I actually got some decent pictures for once. Anyway... This was my first time designing a model to run a weapon fully counts-as - that Shuriken Catapult's a counts-as Combi-Bolter - and my first time designing a base with anything to it other than flat and black. I think he turned out phenomenally, myself.

Hi all, I'm looking to build myself a new Dark Apostle for my World Eaters - I do like the GW model but am looking to make something unique. I would love to see any Dark Apostles you lot have made up, no matter the legion or warband, for a bit of inspiration!
