  1. Ok yeah cool thanks! that’s what I thought! I swear to god one of the red shirts at GW was trying to convince me that the colour sprays were primers too, and could be sprayed right on to plastic. I told him he should read the description on the webstore more carefully, because only the black and the white spray cans are referred to as being primers. Thanks a bunch you have totally validated that for me. Plus it’s good advice to spray black first to check for coverage. Thanks
  2. Hey IP, great to see you still chugging along. The new chaos marines look dope, I’m thinking of doing them up as Iron Warriors myself. To that end, can I ask a dumb question? Do you just spray the leadbleacher spray directly on to the plastic? Or do you spray them black first? I sort of feel I want to prime them black before I spray the boltgun metal... hope that makes sense! I’m re-reading your old thread too it’s so chock full of inspiration!
  3. Some really cool Wolves you have there!
  4. I just have something in my eye right now... If it bleeds, we can kill it....
  5. Absolutely! I have been following your work from day one mate, and I must say it's been a very inspiring and interesting journey that you have been on! I'm quite humbled by your dedication to your craft. I have been planning a Black Legion force which will require all of your Chaos Trim and accessories kits. It's very interesting to watch you puzzle out all these problems and I'm looking forward to the day we all get to pull the trigger on this one!
  6. great job man they look awesome!
  7. Thanks Augustus you're absolutely right. I may have a few ideas left about how to work the chaos kit, I still favour it as the best plastic infantry kit in the history of plastic kits. I also have a full on 95' era vanilla army which i'll probably start posting soon. Congrats on the storm eagle it looks fantastic. My own personal revelation with epoxy glue came when I had to convert tiny little minis like dark eldar arms etc. If a joint is too small to pin I will always use epoxy glue, because it allows you to twist and turn and rework the joint unlike super glue whichs sticks fast. For all the reasons you mentioned i basically use it for everything except space marines, which I always pin anyway. Thanks again, great reading!
  8. Yes I cleared out the Space Wolves, and my Black Legion, and the Plague Marines also. The last few years have been a slow agonizing death for my hobby. I'm not really happy with the new direction GW is taking space marines and power armor. Its quite heart breaking actually. I was actually depressed about it for awhile. I might have to finally start collecting resin: I seem to be having trouble moving on to a new hobby that is equally entertaining, engaging and fulfilling.
  9. If there is anyone that can do it mate - it's you Sir! Going back to your earlier point - I always find it easier to do things for other people rather than for myself ie- i love makingh gifts for other people and very raley make anything for myself!! Relieving my Space Wolves army was similar reilef, I'm glad you have found your groove again! I hope you enjoy this Challenge!
  10. I agree with Augustus; he is most wise in these matters. I would hold on and try to move it all at once, the receiver will be happy to have the whole collection together, and it will cause less hassle and trauma if you only need to go through the process once. Just my 2 cents though!
